I truly believe that we are entering a special age that Jesus asked for in the Lord’s Prayer. i.e. “On Earth as it is in Heaven”

It is my desire that every human experiences it.

Michael Savage played a pivotal role in my life.
.............................................................
I used to listen to Savage every day on the way home from work. That was in D.C. from the late ‘90s to around 2005. He was very entertaining and aggressive with dumb callers, and I enjoyed his recollections of growing up in New York, his mother’s cooking, his dog, etc. etc. I believe He’s the first talk show host to state that “Liberalism is a mental disorder.” I live in the boonies now and none of the stations carry his program.

Sorry but Rush never endorsed nor pushed any primary candidate prior to an election...........He gave them all equal time and commentary.

Not even remotely true.

I listened to Rush every day throughout the 2016 primary, and his bias toward Cruz and Rubio (and against Trump) was crystal clear to everyone who really listened.

It was a constant source of irritation in Freeperland in that time.

Based on personal experience, it is rather, um, special watching the paramedics work on you from somewhere near the ceiling.

Been there, done that, though I wasn't in surgery at the time.

That brief experience fundamentally changed my view of life, death, and my place in the universe.

I remember Rush commenting that Trump and Cruz did best in the primaries. He said this every time. Cruz was never even close to Trump, yet it was always “Cruz and Trump”. Felt he thought Cruz was the “true conservative. I alway got mad at him for including Cruz with Trump. He stealthily morphed into a Trump supporter, which he is now. I guess he was even surprised at Trump’s conservative actions.

Savage was doing fine in the time slot but they kind of reduced his show. If I recall since the start of the year he lost an hour maybe 90 minutes. It went to Ben Shapiro. So he took up a podcast to fill the rest of the slot. He basically is in two parts radio version and daily podcast. Gets confusing to the point locals took tge full Ben Shapiro show and dumped Savage or moved him. I don’t know. I used YouTube and some people post varying degrees of the show.

You’ll recall Rush seemed to favor Scott Walker but one show said he liked a lot of candidates running in the 2016 gop primary. But until he dropped out Rush kept on praising Walker. Later on it seemed he preferred Cruz over Trump. At another point he did sound favorable to Rubio. He had to start liking Trump only because he won the primary.

Yes leaving TRN lead Savage to switching time slots. He feuded with Levin but then when moved to the slot of Hannity he began bashing him. One show before the break up of his show into the current format he was trashing Rush. He has his mood swings. I enjoyed him a few years but in doses.

True Savage did in fact get critical of Trump at times in the Ann Coulter fashion of being critical as in not doing enough or not doing things the way he likes. I do recall that.

Yeah, he's one of those medicines you have to take in small doses. At times he sounds calm, reasonable, even pleasant. Then he'll suddenly go off his bean and get into one of his throaty, hoarse, breathless tirades and sounds like he could burst an artery at any moment. That's when he gets too painful to listen to. See, at least Rush, like him or not, has his schtick. He's a known quantity. You know what you're gonna get with him. Hannity, to a degree, sticks his finger in the wind to see which way the ratings are blowing. But Savage, I tune in and wonder if I'm going to hear the Savage who remembered to take his midday pills at lunch, or left them on the sink vanity.

We played savage in the shop for years but his bitterness, negativity and know it all attitude have become unbearable.

I tune him in occasionally hoping to catch the old magic but he seems to be getting worse.

Exactly my experience.

It's my observation that people like us no longer fear death.

I would presume you have to be very selective on who you chose to share those accounts with.

As you would with any intensely personal event.

Once I was asked if the experience was real by a business colleague, I could only shrug and say "it seemed real enough to me."

Reading this thread, I’m curious to know if anyone would be interested in a NDE/OBE ping list?

That's true, but I'm still in no hurry to clock out before my time :-)

What’s that saying?

Everybody wants to go to heaven, nobody wants to die to get there!

True dat! LOL

Thing is, I *know* my true nature as a being now, but what I don’t know, is what transpires between this life and the next.

I’ve read a lot of others’ experiences with that, where they describe being guided to a sort of ‘heaven’ by angelic beings, and having the secrets of the universe revealed to them, before they’re compelled to return to the physical plane to continue their life’s real journey.

I have a hard time disbelieving that, because that same story has been related countless times by people who’ve had NDEs, meditative breakthroughs, or psychedelic experiences. The similarities between their stories are just too consistent to ignore.

At the same time, there are those who’ve related truly terrifying experiences with the same phenomenon. Obviously, I don’t want to go that way - so I do feel a bit anxious about the whole ‘death’ transition.
