This is the shocking moment a Texas State University student was left with brain damage after allegedly being attacked by Pi Kappa Phi fraternity members who 'thought he belonged to a different social club'.
Senior Nikolas Panagiotopoulos, 22, and a friend allege they were set upon by at least half a dozen members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity as they walked past one of the buildings belonging to their Eta Rho chapter on the night of October 27 this year.
A group of frat members fractured his skull and caused him brain damage after pummeling him outside the Pi Kappa Phi frat house, according to court documents filed in Travis County Court last week.

Boy, is that going to be a fat city lawsuit.
Hope it wipes that fraternity off of the face of the earth.
These universities are not admitting the best and brightest. If they were these kids would be so busy studying they wouldnt have either the time or inclination for this crap.
we have one element that would rather record violence than calling authorities, and another element that is triggered by indifference as great disrespect.
They aren’t kids. They are immature adults. Bring back universal conscription and mandatory ROTC on every college campus.
“Usual victim.
Usual suspects.
Nothing to see here....”
Are you saying that it would have been a hate crime, had the races been reversed? I’m wondering because these kinds of attacks don’t usually happen in the more ‘civilized’ sectors of our society.
And to think that in other threads we have people debating whether a civil war is coming. Our side is already taking casualties and they wonder whether it is a good idea.
From what I could see in the photos, they looked White to me. Do you have any independent information?
Yes they are white. People need to stop posting that crap on every thread. Yes, the majority of the time that is the case but it makes FR look like a bunch of racists.
Another case of White Privilege.

Realists, I would say.

Looking at the first picture it is hard to tell. Other photos in the series make it more obvious. If I am mistaken I will shout it from the rooftops.
You remember back in the good ol’ days when young adults went to college for learning and to prepare for adult life?
In which case this can't be ascribed to racial hatred; it's got to be some other stupid reason, possibly catalyzed by alcohol and/or drugs.
Something very much like this happened at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in 2015. The big difference being that the man being attacked retrieved his handgun and defended himself, killing one and injuring three.
The various trials have been very messy, and the latest trial is scheduled to begin mid-January 2020. Maybe.
It is worth a look for those interested in gun law, because it involves a lot of it. The shooter’s father had been an NRA instructor as well. Many twists and turns and arguments.
It’s good not to form an opinion too early, because it is stupidly complicated.
Texas State University, where I attended for 1 year, is in Hays County. The lawsuit was filed in Travis County (next county north) which most trial lawyers around here “prefer” due to their collective feeling that Travis County Jurors are more sophisticated and understanding than a hick jury in Hays County would be.
Next step probably is a venue hearing as the fraternity lawyers will contest the Travis County filing.
