The Atlanta Constitution should be ashamed of themselves—for continuing to name their publication for a document produced by dead white slaveholders!

;-)

How do we know the portrait is false?

IIRC the WSJ noted the reporter was ‘exceptionally attractive.’
I though an odd comment from that paper.

The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation should post a disclaim on its front page that their reports have altered stories for dramatic effect.

Has that movie been released to the public yet?
All this controversy is great publicity.
Many people today aren’t old enough to know about the original story. This will educate them.

In the official portrait of Governor Lester Maddox
of Georgia, he had them paint in a copy of the Atlanta
Journal/Constitution on an end table with a fish tail
hanging out of it...

Over at Instapundit I read a comment the other day from someone purporting to know the reporter in question, and this commenter said she was known to be a wild bar fly and that the way the movie portrays her is consistent with her known behavior.

Although I have hazy & vague memories of "Rawhide" as I was always outside playing sports or running the streets and not watching TV, my first thought when I see Eastwood's name is always...

I’ve already decided that I will be seeing it. At the theater, not via Netflix on a small screen.
