Star of the upcoming film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Daisy Ridley asserted that "everyone has an issue with Trump — every sane person anyway."
Speaking with The Guardian in an interview published over the weekend, the English actress took aim at both President Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. When asked if she finds it difficult to speak out about politics given that the Star Wars franchise is owned by family-friendly Disney, Ridley said, "No. I don’t feel I have to edit what I say — the things that make me angry are the things that make everyone angry."
"Everyone is annoyed with BoJo," she continued, referencing Johnson, leader of the nation's Conservative Party. "Everyone has an issue with Trump — every sane person anyway. It’s not that I don’t talk about this stuff, but other people are so much more articulate than me and say it better."

Umm, yeah, sure, I’ve got issues with the president. They’re minor disagreements. Whatever. Any sane person would have SOME issue with the president on SOME matter or another. We elect men, not gods, they are by no means perfect. They make mistakes like anyone.
Of course, I think the actress has an entirely different viewpoint. Liberals can’t disagree on something, they can label it some form of a hate crime and decry those who hold an opposing view as oppressing someone. That way they never actually have to discuss any issue, simply issue proclamations (also known as memes) to identify what they believe in this week.
Mary Sue should probably keep her ill-informed positions to herself.

But she’s barely been in it. And it was kind of annoying how she handed him his ass (she could hand me mine, but I’m not wearing armor). I have liked her since the short-lived American Gladiators redo.
There's a rumor that George Lucas created a rough cut of the movie that scored 88% approval with test audiences--far higher than any other version.
But his version favors an understandable story instead of "woke" politics so it will probably never see the light of day.
Again it's just a rumor, but I don't doubt it's true.
