I guess no one else has been shunned in society including white males.

If your not considered beautiful buy your own race, you must be ugly one way or another.

She actually used correct subject-verb agreement. The BBC’s headline writer made it wrong.

Wow, every year it’s now a person of color who is not even close to as beautiful as 90 percent of the contestants. This is tiresome.

I thought these beauty-pageant things died back about 1960 when was probably the last I, being fifteen years old at the time, paid any attention to them.

I seem to recall where a teacher somewhere did away with boy/girl and similar references and substituted the word their even in a singular reference. This was done to be progressive.

“I grew up in a world where a woman who looks like me, with my kind of skin and my kind of hair, was never considered to be beautiful.”
Wow, painting with an awfully broad brush there isn’t she? can’t she just be thankful?

Projection little girl. Your fragile self-esteem doesn’t dictate reality.
And why do you care if other women from other parts of the world are more beautiful than you?
Sounds like you have major issues with coveting, pride, and self-esteem. Get a shrink!

It’s commonly done, especially when the subject is a mixed-sex group. However, in this case, the lady had “they” (girls) as the subject, so “their” is the correct pronoun.

In the midst of her country’s ongoing white genocide, was there any doubt that Miss South Africa would be crowned “Miss Universe” by its PC-infected judges? I am so sick of this s*it.

Sounds like something Moochie would say.

Hey, Laz, do you remember the Twilight Zone episode where Donna Douglas was considered ugly and she tried operations to fit into society?

Which world was that? The world I've lived in all my life, this woman would be considered beautiful and any men not completely intimidated by #MeToo finger-pointing would have let her know it.
