Meadows is full of it. President Trump can say whatever he wants to any foreign leader. The executive branch is co-equal with the other two and Congressional oversight does not extend to deciding whetehr a president has said the right thing. As a matter of fact, they are not supposed to even hear or see transcripts of any such conversations, they are privileged and secret.

So Meadows has sealed his fate. Watch for a primary contest ASAP.

You’re mistaken here. Meadows is the good guy here, calling Republican Congress Critters on their CRITICIZING Trump’s call for being inappropriate. Meadows is saying it was perfectly appropriate for the President to request the investigation to root out corruption, while those he is criticizing were saying they were offended he asked for it, just that it did not rise to the level of impeachability. They were trying to play it both ways, being mealy-mouthed. Meadows says don’t be faint in your support of Trump. Support him whole heartedly. Don’t try to walk a tightrope between support and impeachment by saying you didn’t like what he said.

I stand corrected. I thought Meadows was criticizing the President. Again. The president can damn well say anything he wants to a foreign leader, whether Congress likes it or not.
