What I witnessed today while I was in line at the Chick-Fil-A located in the Magnolia Mall in Florence, SC is why I love this place. I had placed my order and was waiting for my drinks when an older gentleman walked up to the server next to mine. When the young man behind the counter asked for his order, the gentleman stuttered, then got a look of fear in his eyes. "I've forgotten why I'm here and what I was going to get." The young server reached past the register, patted this man on his arm and said, "That's okay sir, there's no rush, take your time, I'm here for you while you choose what you want to eat." The man was wearing his Vietnam Veteran hat. The young man noticed this and said, "Sir, I would like to take this opportunity while you decide to thank you for your service to me and our country." The gentleman shook his head, said "You're welcome. Thank you, I remember what I came for." He proceeded to place his order.
I was talking about the company and operations in general, not the individual employee. But since you brought it up, it isn’t that hard to do what the individual employee does there. That isn’t putting them down, it’s just a fact. Good for them to get such an easy job and get paid for it. And not all CFA employees are the good clean people you’re talking about. Look back in the kitchen when you can. A few years ago ICE cleaned out almost the entire kitchen crew of a CFA in NC. I just think, knowing what we know now about CFA ( I knew it several years ago but who needs to listen to me), Christians can eat where they want obviously, but we should not be beholden to support CFA in our purchases or sending our kids to work to work there. CFA is striving to be a secular company so they should be treated as such by Christians. Go there if you want, don’t go there, whatever, but don’t feel like you have to support them because they are a Christian company, they aren’t anymore, and really haven’t been for a few years now, especially after Truett died. I’m not boycotting them, I just feel like I can eat at Zaxbys or Popeye’s without the Christian guilt associated with not eating at/supporting CFA.
already took a look that’s why I give them money. Since we seem set on schooling each other, take a look at Chik-Fil-A’s latest sweetheart, the Southern Poverty Law Center I will never give a dime to anyone who gives them money. They are one of the most evil groups in the US
I got the exact same letter
I’m sorry for CFA’s store operators & employees. But, CFA is “still” using marketing phrases like “Christian values” and “Biblical principles”. While their foundation is cutting donations to the Salvation Army and funding non-Christian groups.
How amusingly shallow that you drooling hysterical cfa fan-boys, dont realize it has nothing to do with a chicken sammich. Nor that youre a useful idiot for leftist scum. Why not just put on your pink pu**y hats plodding door-to-door as a full-fledged Bernie Bot and be done with it? Cultures are lost incrementally, assisted most by gutless saps such as yourself.
Is there nothing CfA could do that would make you stop going there for their fantastically delicious, out-of-this-world chicken sammies and saintly service?
Is there a line that you would not cross?
If I were a haughty taunter, I think Id avoid directly invoking God in my defense...
I like their chicken sandwich. Probably the best one in fast food.
And they do also tend to have thoughtful employees...like the one you saw.
Yesterday was my last day working as an employee of CFA. I didn't quit because of this rigamarole coming out of company HQ in Atlanta. Honestly, I was tired of the whole food service thing after working in it, on and off, for over 20 years. On Monday, I am embarking on a new adventure doing something that has nothing to d with food service.
As for the calls for CFA (and, by association, all of their employees) to be destroyed due to the higher-up’s severe lack of judgment, I cannot say I agree. Is there anyone on this board that can say they do not now or recently currently bought a product or service that has absolute (for lack of a better term) ‘purity’ in conservative thought? I know there have been boycotts of various companies that have been done or are currently ongoing. One would hope that would send the message intended, but is it working? It has in some instances, but how effectively?
If one wants to be ‘pure’, how truly effective is it? Or, would you send a different message? And what would the actual outcome be?
For those who are sci-fi fans (or those that enjoy good programs), I suggest an episode of the 90’s show ‘Babylon 5’, entitled “Infection”. In it, an artifact from a dead world brings to life an ancient ‘soldier’ that was used to root out alien invaders. The people of the dead world, known as ‘Ikarrans’, programmed their super soldiers to root out any beings that were not ‘pure Ikarran’. In doing so, what they programmed the soldier with was the DNA of one Ikarran, and based their idea of ‘purity’ on that. What they failed to realize was that NO ONE was ‘pure’ based on that DNA...not even other Ikarrans. The super-soldiers meant to rid the world of invading aliens ended up killing everyone that wasn't ‘pure Ikarran’...which meant all Ikarrans. When the resurrected super-soldier was forced to access it's memory and realized what had happened, it ended up committing suicide.
I do not say this to condemn anyone. I say this only for you to look at what you might be doing to those who are ‘innocent’ in this matter.
The SA has rolled over to homos as well. Come on, its easy to find. I posted about it in August when I ran across it looking up donation instructions.

Great post. Needs to be pinged to every purist here.
cram a tampon in it, tinkerbell. after it stops bleeding, youre going to want to get some help for your weird anger issues, and maybe your irrational fear of chicken sandwiches.
And if every Christian had followed principles and stopped going, they might have quickly reversed course and fired the Hillary donor. Instead, they got the message that they can do anything and not lose support.
Wow, the Taunter is easily triggered ;)
the SA is a charity organization with a spiritual christian foundation. They provide services to those in need. They have one of the lowest administrative costs in the area.
I suggest you eat your chin-fil-a give money to the SPLC which clearly support the most liberal causes, and then find agencies that screen out homosexuals and turn them out on cold winter nights. What kind of christian are you?
No matter how you respond. This is my last word. Good bye!
Yes it HAD that foundation. Hope it fully returns to it. They are now celebrating homos including knowingly hiring them and so on. They just didnt say so openly where its in the news shows.
I suggest you read the post from the former CFA worker just prior before being so high and mighty about what a Christian does. You wont easily find ANYthing that doesnt offend our conservative sensibilities somehow.
for you to continue to try to get me to read your BS after i said good-bye is a sign you are an obsessive zealot.
In your honor I am donating 1,000 more to the SA Army in San Diego.
And you failed to keep your word.
Go ahead. SA isnt the worst but it aint as pure as youd like to imply it is.
Good nite. I have my fathers funeral to attend to.
Unbelievable.
You wasted your time trying to justify Chik-Fil-A and excoriate the SA when your father’s funeral was coming up.
Pathetic!
