I thank you for the kind words about the young man at the counter. By and large, CFA employees are, by my personal experience, great people to work with.

Yesterday was my last day working as an employee of CFA. I didn't quit because of this rigamarole coming out of company HQ in Atlanta. Honestly, I was tired of the whole food service thing after working in it, on and off, for over 20 years. On Monday, I am embarking on a new adventure doing something that has nothing to d with food service.

As for the calls for CFA (and, by association, all of their employees) to be destroyed due to the higher-up’s severe lack of judgment, I cannot say I agree. Is there anyone on this board that can say they do not now or recently currently bought a product or service that has absolute (for lack of a better term) ‘purity’ in conservative thought? I know there have been boycotts of various companies that have been done or are currently ongoing. One would hope that would send the message intended, but is it working? It has in some instances, but how effectively?

If one wants to be ‘pure’, how truly effective is it? Or, would you send a different message? And what would the actual outcome be?

For those who are sci-fi fans (or those that enjoy good programs), I suggest an episode of the 90’s show ‘Babylon 5’, entitled “Infection”. In it, an artifact from a dead world brings to life an ancient ‘soldier’ that was used to root out alien invaders. The people of the dead world, known as ‘Ikarrans’, programmed their super soldiers to root out any beings that were not ‘pure Ikarran’. In doing so, what they programmed the soldier with was the DNA of one Ikarran, and based their idea of ‘purity’ on that. What they failed to realize was that NO ONE was ‘pure’ based on that DNA...not even other Ikarrans. The super-soldiers meant to rid the world of invading aliens ended up killing everyone that wasn't ‘pure Ikarran’...which meant all Ikarrans. When the resurrected super-soldier was forced to access it's memory and realized what had happened, it ended up committing suicide.

I do not say this to condemn anyone. I say this only for you to look at what you might be doing to those who are ‘innocent’ in this matter.
