The UPS driver who was killed in a hostage situation and shootout was covering another driver's route when he died, his brother has said.
Driver Frank Ordonez, a 27-year-old father of two young girls, died in the mayhem along with innocent motorist Richard Cutshaw, a 70-year-old union representative who was two years away from retirement, and the two armed robbers who opened fire on cops.
Lamar Alexander, 41, and Ronnie Jerome Hill, 41, both of Miami-Dade County, were identified by the FBI as the perpetrators of Thursday's armed jewelry store robbery, carjacking, kidnapping and shootout with cops that left both criminals and two others dead.
Records show that both men have extensive felony criminal records, and that Alexander had just been released from prison on an armed robbery conviction.
Ordonez was on his first day of work as a UPS driver when the fatal carnage unfolded, and his brother told CNN that he was covering the route of a driver who had called out sick that day, a common first assignment for rookie UPS drivers.

Would you light up that van knowing that numerous unarmed civilians are down range from you?
or hide behind unarmed civilians?
The perps only fired back at the store attendants when the store attendants first fired unsuccessfully at the perps.
We know the police shot blindly into a UPS vehicle. Under what rules of engagement do we allow shooting blindly into a largely windowless vehicleespecially when innocents are in with them? How can even the perps fire blindly out through the metal and hit anyone? Because the perps did not fire through the steel back end, blindly, like the cops did.
Dont be so stupid.
How the F did you come to that conclusion?
You realize Florida is full of Hispanics, right?
The bad guys only fired when fired upon, starting at the store.
I watched the video. Cops blew it in multiple ways.
But you don’t just fire hundreds of bullets into a truck that you KNOW contains a civilian hostage!
There’s nowhere on Earth where that is considered proper police procedure!

Totally acceptable collateral damage to make an example about trying to steal $3,000 dollars worth of jewelry. They will indeed be stopped at any and all costs period. I am now absolutely sure the next robbers will think twice before robbing a store and it will never ever happen again...
“If people were shot for running red lights, wed have a police state.”
According to the article, they were shooting at the cops while driving.
“Dont be so stupid.”
I’m not. What is YOUR solution, besides not enforcing the law?
“Under what rules of engagement do we allow shooting blindly into a largely windowless vehicle”
A large windowless aluminum and fiberglass vehicle. Might as well been air, there is absolutely nothing in a UPS truck that will even slightly slow down a bullet except the engine and trans. You can bet almost all those rounds went all the way through that vehicle no matter what direction they came from.
And rightfully so!
Did the cops have to let the van get into heavy traffic? I dont know how long the chase took, or if there was any way to get ahead of it.
...
The truck had just made a u-turn at a roadblock.
The police should not have approached the truck in that situation.
My guess is there was no single person in charge who could have told them to back off and wait for the right time. This was a long pursuit and five police departments were involved.
Some criminals should never be let out of prison. Would only take 5 normal citizens to decide on it. Oh well....
.
According to this article, police fired over 200 rounds.
I could be wrong, but It appears the cops finished off the driver while he was struggling on the steps. At post 53.
Moral of the story: do not shoot guns on the freeway. Wow. The police in Florida need to visit Los Angeles, ride along with CHP on five car chases, and then go home after the weekend.
I’m thinking that a jewelry heist that just happened to occur on the day a certain UPS driver calls out sick makes that driver a potential accomplice.
Florida law enforcement.
Shoot first, figure it all out later. ........ Later, when the ammo runs out?
Police = Political Jack boots
They get plenty of training in oppression. Wait until they turn that anger and fire power against America patriots.

My law...If you use one of my family members as a human shield while you are drawing someone's fire, I will hunt you down...
