I’ll tell ya, the illegal mexicans gotta go but when I drove a cab I’d pick them up until around 3am from whatever restaurants they were working at.
They’d stop at a deli for a few six packs and then off 4 to 6 would go to stay in their apartment.
They gave great tips too.
I KNOW they have to go.
But I’m just saying these folks could live a couple to a place or a husband and wife can work enough hours to make ends meet.
As for groceries, angel hair pasta and chicken thighs...a whole meal for about 2.50 a person.
My son runs a shipping department and tells me about Indian visa truck drivers. The only way they can bank money is to run the truck 24 hours a day which requires three drivers living in the cab.
Son says the stench that hits you when they open the cab door will burn your nose hair.
I could spend all day lording over a slow cooker of sauerbraten or hickory smoking a whole chicken on the grill, but my wife would take a honey-baked thigh and a blob of angel hair over anything else I could deliver. She blames everything down to her taste buds for being affected by MS, but say no, it's simple tastes for simple minds. (After 21 years, yeah, I go there.😈)
