A question for the thread:
I am looking for a good scenery DVD to watch while on my stationary bike. Something like going down a forest trail or a country road, a virtual ride.
But I have found nothing that was any good. Everything DVD I have bought so far has been a disappointment.
You’ll be riding along a forest trail (very nice), and then all of the sudden the DVD cuts to a beach. Now you’re riding along the beach. Then five minutes later it cuts to somewhere else.
This ruins the whole mood for me. It’s like going through time warps. So if anyone knows of a nice, continuous cycling DVD, please let me know. Thanks.
I saw a tent trailer that can towed behind a bike. I might buy it...
Any body know anything about these?

Since we have a bike thread....
I have been looking (kind of) for a bike for use on roads and paths/trails. No rough mountain bike type trails, just unpaved relatively flat bike trails.
Somewhere in the 4 to 6 hundred dollar range.
About all I know is I want disk brakes (the caliper brakes I’ve had on other bikes always seem to become an issue for me). Is there a downsidce to disk that I’m not aware of yet?
I don’t think I need shock absorbers as I normally won’t be on too rough of trails (at least I don’t plan to at this point). What are the pro’s and con’s of shocks?
It seems that almost everyone has shimano derailers and gears. Most of what I’ve seen are in two different models (I seem to remember that both lines begin with an “A” but I don’t remember at the moment what they are)
What should I be looking for in the bike? Does anyone have a favorite brand (and why) or does the brand at this price point even matter?
Can anyone recommend a ‘buyers guide’ for starting this process?

The fairies riding those things on roads are a disaster. They belong on a high school track where they won’t cause automobile accidents.
Is it permissible to say that I have 3 bikes excess to my needs that I need to sell? I had a hard encounter with an auto earlier this year that gave me a broken right collarbone AND nerve damage to that shoulder & arm. I am now using a wonderful Catrike recumbent but I have a Brompton, a Bike Friday NWT and a Trek 520 just sitting. If this is non-permitted use of FR, please delete.
My stupid weather app said cloudy with chance of rain in the afternoon (actually sun-showers). But when I got out of the front door there was light drizzle and hail. So I only rode to the graffiti wall and back. Glad I did because my favorite street artist put up two new pieces:
