New York Rep. Elise Stefanik showed no concern over the outpouring of support from Hollywood for her Democratic opponent.
President Trump praised Stefanik for her lines of questioning in the House's public impeachment hearings last week, calling her “a new Republican star.” While Republicans lauded Stefanik’s performance, she earned a target on her back from many Democrats.
In the days since, several celebrities urged people to donate to Tedra Cobb, the Democratic candidate opposing Stefanik in 2020.(snip)
During an interview with Townhall, Stefanik brushed off Hollywood's support for her opponent, claiming she cares more about her upstate New York constituents than she does about tweets from celebrities like Rosie O’Donnell and Chelsea Handler.
"Any day of the week I choose North Country families over Rosie O'Donnell and Chelsea Handler," Stefanik said.
Between Stefanik’s newfound Republican stardom and Cobb’s celebrity support, there is a lot of money pouring into New York’s 21st District. Stefanik revealed that she raised $250,000 in just 15 minutes following her interview on Hannity on Thursday night. Meanwhile, Cobb had raked in $1 million as of Sunday and is close to matching the $1.5 million she raised for the entirety of her unsuccessful bid against Stefanik in 2018.
Stefanik, 35, beat Cobb by 13.7 points in 2018, and the district voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton by 14 points in 2016. Her seat was listed as a “solid” Republican seat by Cook Political Report as of Nov. 15.

Soros will spend millions to try and win this seat. Someone needs to off the bastard already. It’s apparent that God isn’t taking him. Far too often evil lives a long time on this Earth and ruins the lives of many others in the process.
A friend of mine, who reads esoterica for a hobby, says that re Soros, just buy a black candle, scratch his name on it, put it on a safe plate, light it and let it burn all the way down to nothing.
I think he will get the word if candle sales jump.

She was good. Someone in her sphere knew a lot to have her ask those questions.
She’s a rising star.
She was one of the first people to figure out something was off with DOJ/FBI in the House.
She got smacked by some here because NO she is not a conservative on certain issues.
I think immigration and a few other issues where were she was weak.
Right now, that’s not important.
It’s important that she’s fighting for Trump during these ridiculous proceedings.
And just like there are going to be area of the country where a dem rep isn’t going to be so liberal, there’s areas of the country where a true conservative wouldn’t win but an R can.
In that case, I’d rather have an R majority in the house even if some aren’t up to snuff on some issues.
Sometimes the reality of a situation trumps what we would find ideal.
She is always 110% prepared, and she delivers on-point without the usual stammering and stuttering. Really impressive.
Yep. She isn’t someone who has to rely on staff to coach her. She knows her material and goes for the throat. And does it in such a calm manner.
