Kinda like google, just less pay.
With Google, most get signed on for up to two years on a temp contract. At any time these employees can be shown the door for any reason.
I find the sudden leftist hate of Amazon to be interesting.

They demand performance and have mastered measuring for it. They know it’s a hard, physically demanding job requiring 8-12hrs per day on your feet.

I note there’s been a concerted propaganda campaign the past couple of weeks against amazon with planted stories allegedly by different outlets but all being sourced by the “nonprofit” “Center for Investigative Reporting”
Ah. I wasn’t trying to disagree with you. Mostly to point out that Google isn’t all that kind to some of their employees. I know of many who were let go because Google decided to move that business unit to another state. A couple years later, they did the same thing, moving that business to 3rd and 4th states. Except for some key individuals, Google is not the first company I think of when it comes to employment stability.
I have a niece who works at a Amazon center in South Jersey. I asked her if the horror stories about working at a Amazon center were true. She told me most of them are but the money is good and she is staying with them.
Working woman. She gets my support.
