Pride integrity and guts. It makes you mad, but there are times that you can make headway in a small town with a little humor.
It’s hard to do, but you know the more creep was looking out from behind the counter waiting to see the reaction. It would be so fun to have zero negative reaction whatsoever and act like it’s completely normal. Smile and laugh. Have fun showing the cup around the room like you think it’s a good joke.
Don’t forget to lightheartedly show it to the manager and show them how funny the clerk is.

I swam in a pond West of Glenpool towards Keifer when I was a kid. It was a little salty. It was actually an old blowout crater of a well from early in the century. There were two stores in Glenpool then, one was the post office. Earlier it was gunfire across the street between the stores but when I was growing up that had civilized to just bottle rockets.
Our pasture and pecan grove are now a subdivision, the house is gone.

Yep. It would be great if the police could find a way to get more than an apology and a firing out of this. Like have Starbucks put some of their largess behind the “Shop with a Cop” programs that help build bridges with cops instead of this garbage.

If anyone has a front-row seat to the collapse of our civilization, it’s local law enforcement. I think his writing is intelligent. He’s obviously thought this through.
We sure do give words a lot of power these days. Trying to build and sustain an offense-free culture is the bigger danger to me.
