A police officer in Oklahoma was dismayed when he bought a coffee at the local Starbucks on Thanksgiving and noticed the name on the label was Pig.
The chief of police the Kiefer, Okla. said one of his officers trekked to Starbucks to get some java for a dispatcher when he received the insulting label.
What irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town, Chief Johnny OMara said in a Facebook post that included an image of the Pig coffee cup.
Chief OMara called the coffee shop and employees there offered to replace the coffee with a correct label. But the chief wasnt buying it.

Wouldn’t it be reasonable to expect more maturity and sense of duty from police officers - public employees with badges and guns - than from Starbucks employees?
If not, then why is a negative view of police inaccurate?
I have a higher opinion of the competency and service-orientation of the officers of my local department than I do of the qualities of a randomly-selected food-service employee. Perhaps that’s unjustified, but it makes me feel better about their driving around armed with guns and authority.
Hah. I make seven figures.
Two of them are behind the decimal point.
Maybe they have a coffeepot at the police department. Most offices do.
I don’t know why my saying the employee’s behavior was tacky is being taken to mean that I believe it is praiseworthy. I do not. I believe everyone ought to be polite to everyone else in all non-emergency situations.
I also observed that both parties were working on Thanksgiving and that the officer was buying snacks, rather than patrolling, at the time. If the report we have read is accurate, these are true statements.
I would love a green egg! I hope you have a wonderful day with your family and a delicious turkey!
Consequently, there were police cruisers parked out front and armed officers at the counter, highly visible from the street, a lot of the time.
The place was never robbed, to my knowledge.
It would be A SHAME if some police emergency happened at Starbuck's, and no cops showed up. Just Sayin'.
Starbucks hires white trash ...
I wonder what they majored in in college?
This is not the first time some server, barista, etc. has decided to use a disparaging remark to describe a customer on a receipt or order ticket. Are standards so low that we don’t fire people immediately for this anymore? There is no excuse for doing this unprovoked.
Thanks. It’ll be nice to have everyone home, safe, and off duty.
:o)
LOL - I'm betting on 'grievance studies for snowflakes'...
Will the ceo go on national tv and do an act of contrition?
Will he close the stores for retraining? Will he fire the cop-hating dork?
We know the answer.
I believe several c-store chains in Iowa offer free coffee and fountain drinks to uniformed LEOs.
And here you go assuming that any ticketing by a police officer who was just called a pig would be in some way illegal. Do you have any clue how often the average cop ignores violations? The answer is countless. I bet if you fired up your Yugo today and rolled down the street, any cop could see 10 violations before you hit the first stop sign. Lucky for you and all of us, most ignore them and go about their business. Now, if you rolled down your window and called that cop a pig, you'd get exactly what you deserved. That's called real life, not theory.
So here's the way the world of policing worked years ago when America was great; call a cop a pig and those violations get really, really noticed especially when the manager of such a store is in, no doubt, countless violation of sanitary codes and other sundry city, county, local ordinances.
I despise Starbucks. Only idiots go there.
....
This idiot goes there. The one I frequent has very nice, professional people working there.
Well you are wasting your money. Be “cool” and “trendy” if you want. It’s a free country.
Gender Studies.
Well at least it’s not a hoax. I never use SB when going on my routs. I’d rather drink airline coffee which isn’t much better (which I don’)
Okay.
Have a nice day.
“Being served by loser types opposite of that ruins the dining experience. The policeman was there as a customer and got his enjoyment of drinking a coffee ruined by a trash head.”
