Dr. Bryan Calhoun, vice chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at West Virginia University, explains why abortionists should have admitting privileges.
We commonly (I personally probably at least weekly) see patients at Womens and Childrens Hospital in our emergency room or ultrasound center with complications from abortions at the centers in Charleston: so much for safe and legal. These patients are told to come to our hospital because the abortion clinic providers do not have hospital privileges to care for their patients, so we must treat them as emergency drop ins. No other medical providers are allowed to care for patients, have no backup coverage, and then abandon them to the emergency room. We would be held ethically and legally liable.
These statements was made in a letter Calhoun wrote dated June 31, 2013, to West Virginia Atty. Gen. Patrick Morrisey, who was considering new clinic regulations.

Morgana, keep up the great work. Your posts inspire me to work harder and do more for the Life movement. God bless.
The feminazis don’t want anyone to know what happens in abortion clinics. They will fight this fang and nail. Those women are sacrificed on the altar to the great god of abortion-free-and-safe.
Thank you. Every day I’m trying to keep you all informed and educated to just how evil this is.
Seriously? A FOUR year old article about a TWO years earlier story?
Abortion is indefensibly evil, but repeating the same stories from years ago is not how to get the word out. If anything, it gives the false impression that these disturbing events are so rare that we have to go way back in the past to find examples of these murders gone bad.
Listing recent and current horrors will work far better.
Yes and in four years it’s not changed. Abortion clinics HATE admitting privileges. They are still being fought tooth and nail. Any other doc you go to has them but not an abortionist.
Yet they keep telling us abortion is safe.
I would wager a high percentage of abortion doctors would have difficulty getting privileges due to prior screwups on their records, and the rest wouldnt want privileges because they would be obligated to take ER call as a condition.
The evil industry is being exposed for the evil it is
Ok, how about this:
Telling the truth about the industry cutting up babies and selling the parts gets you a 2.2 million dollar judgement.
