Our Constitution gives us the right to a speedy trial. It also protects us from torture. Personally I think that most of the animals on death row and in some of the prisons who are in for violent crimes should have been summinarily executed one hour after their trials ended.

However that is not how our overmasters see things.

But torturing a soul instead of manning up and executing him, is beyong the pale, and using other prisoners to do the torturing is even worse.

And some people even get laughs over torture.

No one does anything about it.

And it is not just the worst of the worst who get tortured, but your son, nephew, niece, and others, who are being held for mild infractions like possession.

Do you want to discuss with me the 20 year old with out id who spent the weekend in a rugged new jersey jail after being caught with a blunt after a Dead concert. Took him years to manage that including the diseases.

You seem to be confusing government sanctioned torture with things that just happen in prison. There have been countless threads here where a picture of a perp is shown, someone's going to say, Bubba's gonna have fun with him.

No one is endorsing 'torture', just stating the inevitable.

Sure, 'something should be done', but it never has, and probably never will.
