Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has found evidence that an FBI lawyer manipulated a key investigative document related to the FBI's secretive surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser -- enough to change the substantive meaning of the document, according to multiple reports.
The show-stopping development comes as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News that Horowitz's comprehensive report on allegations of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant abuse against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page will be released on Dec. 9. "That's locked," Graham said.
The new evidence concerning the altered document, which pertained to the FBI's FISA court warrant application to surveil Page, is expected to be outlined in Horowitz's upcoming report. CNN first reported the news, which was largely confirmed by The Washington Post.
But the Post, hours after publishing its story, conspicuously removed the portion of its reporting that the FBI employee involved worked "beneath" Peter Strzok, the FBI's since-fired head of counterintelligence. The Post did not offer an explanation for the change, which occurred shortly after midnight. Earlier this week, the DOJ highlighted a slew of anti-Trump text messages sent by Strzok when he was leading the Hillary Clinton email investigation and the probe into the Trump campaign.
"The person under scrutiny has not been identified but is not a high-ranking official — they worked beneath former deputy assistant director Peter Strzok, according to people familiar with the investigation who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss material that has not yet been made public," The Post wrote in its now-deleted paragraph.

I believe the MSM has jumped the gun again. Reporting on a “low level attorney” when no one is supposed to know what the Report is yet. My overall guess is “Trumps team is making selective leaks to scare the crap out of these DeepStaters. It looks like they will take out a few scapegoats and leave all the main players in flux.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz has invited witnesses and their lawyers to review relevant portions of a draft report, allowing them the opportunity to offer input and objections.
Witnesses?!
The Washington Post report also said witnesses were being asked to view these sections of the document, which is marked "Top Secret," in a secure area, must sign nondisclosure agreements, and have been told they are not allowed to remove any notes they make about the report.
I guess that is the 'Unusual restrictions' part.
It has been seen. That's why the leaks have started.

Thanks for that update of news. Questioning why the IG Report is 1 year overdue and is complete but won’t be released until 12/9? IG will testify on 12/11 and no one will have a clue what is being discussed.Seems like more hidden agenda action.
The people reviewing the report could be name dropping to divert attention away from themselves.

The report was delayed because of wrangling over classified/not classified infighting.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report into the Obama administration’s alleged FISA abuse has been delayed again, allegedly as a result of infighting between federal agencies and “perhaps” a lack of cooperativeness by FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“Evidently, there’s an intra-agency debate and really a food fight if you will about the classification issues,” former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz revealed during a discussion Monday evening with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

It was probably accidentally erased due to being hosted on Amazon’s faulty AWS hosting service—you know the one that recently was not awarded the multi-billion-dollar government hosting contract.
Not only it is a felony, but it would expose the lawyer to a civil lawsuit.

YEs. It was one of the big publishers (CNN, WAPO, NYT) I was reading in which they stated as fact that POTUS was making baseless assertions about Joe Biden’s Quid Quo Pro with the Ukraine when there is NO EVIDENCE that Joe ever did such a thing....they wrote this after the video of Joe Biden doing exactly that had been viral for about 48 hours.
They now say he worked under the General Counsel, Baker, which makes a lot more sense since he's a lawyer and all.
The days when the NY Slimes or the Washington Post can redefine history by stealth - deletion are over.
