Nuclear subs on patrol for the US months at at time. They have nowhere to hide either. Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) has been a potent deterrent for a long time. I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

“There are millions of Mehican patriots lurking around our country and inside our military just waiting for the clarion call to attack.”

Really?? That is one of the dumbest damn things I’ve ever seen on this forum, and there have been some doozies lately.
I hate using the term Mexican American, but for purposes of proving just how ****ing stupid you are it will have to do.
Mexican Americans have a long history of serving this great Republic as soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. They are just as damn loyal as you, maybe more, even though clowns like you have the balls to question that loyalty they still volunteer to serve. You would’ve hated the makeup of the last platoon I served in before retiring from the Marine Corps. 10 of the 23 Marines in that platoon were guys you just crapped on with your idiot post. Marines with these last names. Castillo(me), Garcia, Martinez, Chiadez, Ramos, Lazarro, Gomez, Montoya, Sandoval, and Armijo. I would love to see you question their loyalty to their faces. Something tells me you would wuss out.

Communist countries fight each other all the time. It is about control, and what individuals have it. Countries are passe’, power is until death. As the powerful only know, power that is not exercised is wasted.

China wants total control. In fact, the US power structure wants total control. The people? Not so much. Most just want a little control over their lives, not worrying about the macro. They fret over the micro, their own family.

Poor man wanna be rich. Rich man wanna be King. King man wants to be the King of everything.

My personal opinion, Russia and the US should be very close. We have much in common and have never been closer in philosophy than in 2019. They are headed towards less centralized power, we are heading in the opposite direction. Maybe we can stabilize each other as friends. Wouldn’t that freak out the Dragon of China?

“” “” Don’t be too quick to judge. I live in Wyoming and a good number of our Mexican neighbors would be the first people to head out and kill any invading army from Mexico.

Unlike Americans our loyal Mexican neighbors are not going to be hampered by rule of engagement or laws or silly stuff like that.”” “”

That’s a gross misconception and it is not supported by historical precedents.
Some will, some won’t, most would join their kin.

Russia and France were only major powers supporting US independence in the first place. Russia was probably a single European power that remained friendly with US until WWI. After the US Civil War they had fleets based off NYC and SF to prevent British invasion of weakened US.

In fact there are no solid reasons for Russia and US to be enemies at this point as well. The reasons are simply internal politics and more so on US side.

A bit of trivia, maybe meaningless or meaningful. As the US was cycling into WW 1, the Russians cycled back home to a revolution that brought in the Bolsheviks. Was the reason we went to war to support Communism? It surely wasn’t for grins and a sunken ship full of munitions and travelers. Most likely both were maneuvered into happening.
