Goes back to mythology way before movies, but it’s basically a sea monster that engulfs entire ships. Most often it is portrayed as a gigantic squid wrapping the ship up, tearing it apart, and then using it’s beak like mouth to get to the creamy center.
ThanQ, FRiend. I am aware of the myth of the Kraken from reading. My movie experience is somewhat lacking, however. It was on FR that I learned all about the movie line “Release the Kraken!”
