LSU is favored by a shocking amount over Arkansas for their Saturday matchup.
The spread is 46 points in favor of the Tigers winning, and thats the largest spread for an SEC conference game since 1978, according to David Purdum.

Nah, it's just Northwestern being Northwestern again.
Say it ain’t so. 1311 in a 33-game stretch (late 70s/early 80s).
I’m sure the Big 12/10 would have loved to get Arkansas when they were trying to replace their team exodus, rather than going all the way to West Virginia. It would have made far better sense regionally. The Big 12/10 will never take a public school not named after a state. However, if Texas and OU were to ever leave, all bets are off on who is left to grab, and then they may have to start taking schools with city names.
I will 2nd this. Or 3rd it, whatever. I agree.
Additionally, them changing coaches every few seasons and in the process, selecting a coach that is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE in terms of offense has not helped. Going from Houston Nutt run game to Bobby Petrino spread, to Bret Bielema Big Ten 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense to... whatever the heck they’re doing now. In about a 12 year span they’ve changed 4-5 times and it takes a solid 3 years to get the right recruits in to run your scheme even halfway effectively, but especially to run it effectively in a conference as competitive as the SEC West.
They hamstrung themselves doing what they’ve done.
It is a weakness, but if you can outscore your opponent, you win the game. I think our Defense will improve as we move forward, but Alabama’s Defense isn’t that great either. And Ohio St. and Clemson’s Defense haven’t been tested yet.
They beat Fl. and Auburn and won the Eastern Conference.
I agree. So, if we don’t beat them by 50 we aren’t that good.
We haven't had a decent coach since Bobby Petrino. Bret Bielma could eat his weight in pancakes but not so good recruiting and coming up with offense schemes. Chad Morris didn't gel with the players for some reason. Ran off more good players than we could sustain.
Bobby Petrino on the other hand was pretty fluid with the offenses according to his qb talent. He could spark a team and have them play above their individual talents so they were cohesive as a team. A lot of fans want him back.
Razorbacks did okay going into the SEC they could get the Texas schoolboys that wanted to play there, once A&M went into the SEC those boys could stay in Texas and still play in the SEC
I guess Ohio State has a weakness now.
