LSU is favored by a shocking amount over Arkansas for their Saturday matchup.
The spread is 46 points in favor of the Tigers winning, and thats the largest spread for an SEC conference game since 1978, according to David Purdum.

I’ll take LSU to cover....and then some.
LSU can probably start taking a knee after the first quarter.
What has happened to the proud Razorback franchise?
So far it’s OSU, LSU, Georgia, and Clemson.
I can’t favor LSU because their Defense is reminiscent of some past OU Defenses, and we know a little about lacking defenses. OSU doesn’t seem to have any weaknesses, so it’s going to take really good coaching to find and exploit some.
I bet LSU wins 56-10.
I have heard Arkansas’ recruiting pool in Texas dried up with Texas A&M moved into the SEC. Before that Arkansas was able to attract players from Texas who wanted to play in the SEC.
I still don’t get how Georgia is in the top 4.
Ouch!
Arkansas did fire their coach a couple of weeks ago.
Georgia lost to SCa (4-7) for goodness sake
Which lost to Tennessee, N.Ca, and Missouri of all people
Why are they listed in the top 4?
I think they want LSU out of the number 1 ranking by setting that absurd point spread.
Well, that’s just me. Go Tigers.
The Buckeyes have been given huge spreads every week and they have covered for intents and purposes by the end of the first half; will be interesting to the QB battle between former Buckeye Joe Burrow and current Buckeye Justin Fields once Fields has to play more than 30-minutes as opposed to Burrow’s near-full game stats. If Fields lights up Penn St and next Michigan, the Heisman battle may tilt towards the current Buckeye.
GO BUCKS - hoping to see LSU against my Buckeyes for the National Championship.
I expect the LSU Defense to be especially motivated this week after being embarrassed by Old Miss.
You really have to look at matchups, injuries, errors, and how they were corrected. X vs Y doesn’t do it.
These are really pretty young players and they can get blocks. Look at OU last weekend, freshmen saved the day.
Arky belongs in the Big 12, not the SEC.
If they get the Memphis head coach, they might be able to make some inroads in the Memphis area for recruiting.
Defensively, LSU is not very dominant. That’s their achilles heel.
I will take any team plus 46 points. Put $10 down on Arkansas plus 46 points. The fourth quarter will be fun to watch when the Razorbacks are trailing by 40,
Northwestern is having an awful year. In recent years, they have been competitive almost weekly. Last week, at 1-8, they were 40 point favorites over a bad University of Massachusetts team. Final score 45-6.
"The day of the game, you may feel a slight sting."
