If you can’t test it don’t release it. I’ve read that Apple is having some issues in the upper circles. Far too much management that’s never been in the trenches or written any code to speak of.

It was a lot simpler for Apple when they had a fewer hardware platforms. Apple only supports 4-5 year old platforms, just imagine what Microsoft has to support.

Every hardware platform is an order of magnitude more complicated.

Interesting, I restored my new iPhone 11 Pro Max from an iCloud backup and my many photos were not displaying in iMessages. I was hoping for an update however after about 10 days (this weekend) they finally migrated on their own. Odd thing.

Pictures being larger take longer to download. . . Text is quick. iMessages are considered history. You can force the to do it faster by going back to look for older messages, which speeds up the downloads, but not by much.

Thank you for explaining. I figured as much and that does makes sense.

Btw, this new phone is amazing isn’t it? I believe we have the same iphone. I’m enjoying it so much. I tried to size down with the 11 Pro because I have such small hands and hand strain but it only took my about 3 days and I knew, big mistake. Especially noticeable when editing photos plus I read a lot on my phone. Less than a week I was right back at the Apple store swapping it for the 11 Pro Max. First time I’ve ever swapped an Apple device.

Next I’m hoping I can swing that 16” MacBook Pro. It is getting amazing reviews! Sorry this is probably the wrong thread but just wanted to acknowledge what a great iphone this latest is. Thanks again for your reply..

I use that app/feature all the time for keeping tabs on my daughters. Other than the appearance, it seems to still work as it always has. I’m not sure what isn’t working for you.

Which seems rather contrary to their purpose for the ever-growing public beta program... I had hopes that the beta program would help find and squash these bugs before the regular release - but it hasn’t.
