Emilia Clarke claims Game Of Thrones bosses guilt-tripped her into performing multiple nude scenes she wasn't comfortable with so she 'didn't disappoint fans'.
In an interview with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert, the actress, 33, said she hadn't agreed to the nudity in advance but felt she should do it anyway because she was new to the industry.
Emilia said: 'I’m a lot more savvy [now] with what I’m comfortable with, and what I am okay with doing.
'I’ve had fights on set before where I’m like, "No, the sheet stays up", and they’re like, "You don’t wanna disappoint your Game of Thrones fans". And I’m like, "F**k you".'

I think its wrong to try and present actors with a fait accompli and pressure them into doing something like this. They SHOULD make it explicitly clear in the casting call that they will do nude scenes so that they know and accept it before applying for the role.

Her nudity was also respectful and very artistic and beautiful. There’s a difference in kinds of nudity. GOT did a very good job of not going totally overboard regarding sex. So many shows do that as the seasons progress as an effort to retain viewers. I’m reminding myself of Melrose Place... went from a cute show about young folks in an apartment complex to murder mayhem and kinky sex...
It was until the poofters and the Radical Feminists that run Hollywood ruined with their agenda as they always do.
You could have, I dunno, read the books before you took the part... or maybe had your agent confirm your ability to restrict these things, if that was so important for you, before you signed a contract. It’s not like you signed up for a disney flick and got caught off guard by horrible horrible nude scenes

Respectful? At one point it showed her weeping as she is being done doggy style by Khal Drogo with at best very reluctant consent. I wouldn’t say that’s particularly tasteful.
Just another so-called actress making a living with her body and complaining about it.
As opposed to Lena Headey parading through the streets, albeit using a body double.
Please... You were nude virtually in your first scene, and one of the first scenes of the entire series.... You weren’t pressured into disappointing “fans” then because the show didn’t even have any... IF she had a problem with being nude on film she would have never taken the job... first episode she is nude for crying out loud, it isn’t like they went many seasons then suddenly wanted her nude....

That paraded through the street scene was very powerful, and you had to cheer when she blew up the building and killed em all. Very clever use of character shifting. GOT, still haven’t seen the last season, and I hear it fell a bit flat, but the series was iconic.
Her character, back when it actually had character development and plot, before the show became as predictable and hack kneed as a sit com... became who she was through what she endured...
She went from being an outcast, yet child or privilege to leader of one of the largest armies in the world, at every turn she took the situation she was in, and figured out a way to work it to her advantage... even if the situation she was in was less than great.
She went from being a piece of meat for Drogo to use for his pleasure, to getting him to fall in love with her and manipulating him, to flat out replacing him.... I didn’t see that scene as untasteful, it was part and parcel of her journey toward what she would be. She could have Continued to simply be his play thing and accept her fate, or figure out a way to improve her state.
She was every bit at self serving as Cerse’... just better at convincing those around her, she was not.
I don’t recall much about her nude scenes. Didn’t make much of an impression, I guess...
Now, Lena Headey on the other hand... yeah, buddy!
Back in the 50s and 60s, a glimpse of a boob, midriff, a thigh or even a mild “come hither” look was titillating.
These days? Honestly, who cares if an actress flashes her assets on screen? Why do we pretend this is even an issue?
