Can a non American born have top secret clearances today? I once heard that American pilots born in Russia or with a wife born there could not have bomber overflight assignments within a zone near there.
In case of a war declaration they might hesitate to drop the nuclear bombs.
Someone more knowledgeable here would have to tell me if I am right or wrong about that.

Always could. Good number of our post ww2 scientists were German born just not “ known” nazis. We even had a Kenyan president!
