On Sunday, Kanye West took to Twitter to announce an opera. It’s titled, “Nebuchadnezzar” and will be performed at the Hollywood Bowl on November 24th, at 4pm. The announcement notes, “Music with Sunday Service, Peter Collins & Infinities Song*”
As of right now, we don’t know what this opera will entail. The most obvious question some may have, though, is: why Nebuchadnezzar?
Overall, one macro takeaway from the story of Nebuchadnezzar is this: you may not think God had anything to do with your success until one day you realize God had everything to do with your success. After the first dream, Nebuchadnezzar respects God’s wisdom. After the furnace, Nebuchadnezzar respects God’s loyalty. And then after his period of madness and loss of title and humanity, he respects God’s power. It’s only then that we see Nebuchadnezzar become a true believer.
On October 24th, 2019, the day before the release of his album Jesus Is King, Kanye sat down for a nearly 2-hour interview with Zane Lowe.

Many years ago, our church pastor did a series on the recognizing sin in one’s self. Nebuchadnezzar’s sin was pride but he was blind to his pride and had to be humbled before God. He was blind because in his arrogance, Nebuchadnezzar assumed that it was HIS doing. That Babalon was HIS kingdome that He built. There was no room for any other authority. It was all under his control.
I still remember those lessons and can simply what our pastor taught to a simple phrase - control is an illusion.
I have kept that lesson in my heart and I have tried to listen to the warning of that simple phrase. To learn this lesson, I recommend to others that they start with a list of what they know that they dont have control over.
Can you control the lenght of your days on this earth? How can you control it if you dont even know how long you will be here? Can you control what other do or say to you?
What you CAN control is what you do and what you say.

Nebuchaddnezzar is one of a few types in the Bible that represent the Antichrist. Others include Nimrod, Solomon, Pharaoh, Herod, and Judas Iscariot to name a few.
Yeah I always rate Solomon up there with Harod, the 2nd greatest baby killer next to Pelosi and Judas.The Virgin Mary is from Solomons side of the family BTW. What does that make Jesus?
