She said he wanted to make whit man’s fire.

Is that a line in the script?

The boy was not white.

Yeah, but I think Louie Prima was married to Keely Smith, a beautiful, talented black woman.

I don’t pay much attention to what anyone under 25 thinks (or, especially, “feels”) about most anything — under 30 if they attended an American liberal arts college. I just dismiss it as the tripe that it usually is.

If you don’t like them then don’t watch them.
There are plenty of other channels and networks to pick from.

If that's how she feels, I suggest she doesn't watch them!

She’s the racist for thinking orangoutangs equate to black characters.

The crows in Dumbo were played by white actors (from what I recall) ergo - using her insipid association of monkeys as black because they used a black voice then the crows aren’t racist because they were played by white actors.

She’s a stupid, nonsensical, idiot

There is an old saying, "a little learning is a dangerous thing." Good thing this snowflake wasn't around in the 1950s.

She could have watched the Cisco Kid or Crusader Rabbit or maybe that cartoon with Leonardo Lion, King of Bongo Kongo. The snowflake would have melted.

I never understood what was wrong with that film.

You had a kindly free black man telling old folk tales to a young white boy.

Of course I never understood why the Stratemeyer Syndicate rewrote all all their books and removed all minority characters or the problem with "Little Black Sambo" which is a tale from Sri Lanka.

Now days all these things would be considered "multi-cultural".

Lauren, who is originally from Dunblane . .

Dunblane?

That rings a bell.

You don't suppose . .

Nah, the Daily Mail is a reputable newspaper, isn't it?

Or is it?

Dunblane Massacre

And what is the significance of a small Scottish town being included this article about old Disney movies and their possibly harmful effects on today's little children?

To add credibility to the person interviewed, maybe?

One of the standard criticisms today's SJWs levy against cartoons we all enjoyed when we were kids (other than racism, which has about run its course) is so many of those hand-drawn cartoons--both printed and as films--relied on stereotypes: cannibals with rings in their noses, bankers wearing top hats, stumbling old men (seldom women), absent-minded professors, dumb cops, the list goes on.

Yet, journalists continue the practice of making a person's age, race, looks, education and place of residence an incidental part of articles when a point of view is expressed.

Why should it matter?

Are we expected to bow down to people whose arguments--no matter how ill-formed--would, if implemented in law, ultimately lead to censorship, suppression of unpopular ideas and a regimented society.
