It’s about time someone tried to help cat people.
But how?

You know, since it hasnt eaten in a while, you might want to dropper in a few squirts of water. One squirt at a time perhaps four to an hour to combat dehydration.
Mother cat was dead...in the road
Dang it the lil pest is climbing all over everything ... every time I go anywhere it is underfoot, day or night and if I close the door it is outside mewing wanting to get in so it can pester me even more.
I can see affection but this Cat is like “Play Misty for Me” weird because it is non-stop ...
Feed it the broth or kitten milk from an eye dropper. You can also use raw milk from a cow if you have access. When you can, get kitten baby bottles and commercial kitten milk from an independent pet store. Big chain stores don’t have experts or animal lovers much. Feed her round the clock if possible. She worn need much but might need every hour or two for a bit.
All that work makes you realize what great work those cat mammas do naturally.
I had to take TBK to the vet when he was 5 or 6 days old, he hadn’t pooped in almost 3 days. He was so tiny that when they weighed him on the smallest scale, the scale said he weighed zero ounces LOL.
The vet gave him a miniature enema and recommended the pumpkin purée in the formula. It worked great, TBK was able to poop on his own after that.
When I was at the vet, he said to me, “You’re doing a great job, but he could die anyway. That doesn’t mean you did anything wrong. It’s just that this little guy really needs his mother and his litter mates”. My heart sank like a rock and I cried all the way home. I was so afraid TBK would die on me.
But he didn’t die! He’s now 20 plus pounds, the size of a small bobcat!! He’s jet black with beautiful yellow eyes and he has a wonderful sweet personality.

I was feeding a feral mama cat...I found her dead in my neighbors yard....probably run over and died in neighbors yard. Adopted 4 kitties...tiny...fed them on phony mother cat milk with nipple bottles with punctured holes so they could get the milk...I used to have 4 of them sleeping on my chest...and hanging on...and I would feed them as much as they wanted. When I was gone for 8 to 12 hours....I would lock them in my bathroom with water and food...and kitty litter...They all grew well....you can probably take them to a board and car veterinarian when you go away for thanksgiving....they will feed and watch them..then you will continue same and eventually allow cat to live in barn...they are very lovable in their independent yet affectionate interaction with you. Good luck and do not be surprised if you become attached to it.

If you're going away, take the kitten with you. It's small enough.
My very first kitten was found in a huge tenement boiler. The owner complained that his boiler was making strange noises. A mechanic was called and found what at first glance looked like a rat in the #2 fuel oil. Poor thing. I adopted the kitten and took it everywhere with me in a bag till she was 8 weeks old. This was back in the 80's when "emotional Support Animals" were still unknown. ha ha ha
Been a cat person for many many years and never had a kitten that small. I would take it to a vet, have it checked over and learn how and what to feed it till it is self sufficient. Then figure out it’s destiny.
Appreciate the offer, but we have three cats at the moment.
It can get a bit wearing at times. If he’s still young, maybe he’ll calm down as he gets older. Or perhaps you can tire him out with a toy so he’ll at least take a nap.
Would love to, but cats from around the country all speak different dialects.
I am afraid you are on your own to develop a rapport with yours.
