Just found a kitten in my barn, not a cat person but don't want it to die, I think it's mother I saw on the side of the road the other day.
if it is too tiny, you’ll have to feed with a dropper. You can get kitten milk at Walmart
eye-dropper would help feed a very young kitten. Milk likely better than broth.
Do you have a syringe or eye dropper?
The chicken broth might be too salty.
Some water might be good though if it’s been a while w/o it’s mother.
Probably more knowledgeable posters around for this one than me.
A quick search for ‘raising orphaned kittens’ yields a fairly clueful appearing website called “kittenrescue.org”
It will have to be fed multiple times a day until it is mature enough to eat hard, kitten food.
Just raised our second 4 in 17 years from very small babies to nearly grown-up cats. It is work, but fun.
Contray to popular belief, cats are loyal, friendly and make great companions.
And there might be more than one kitten. You might have a look around for its siblings.
[Russian Accent]Comrade, teach cat to kill rat and mouse.

Get milk and a bottle.
It takes lots of hours and lots of feeding.
To be honest, the time spent awake to pull this off with the constant feedings required is a good responsibility for kids. And they always appreciate the cat as it grows up.
Do you have any nephews an nieces, kids, or grandkids you can pawn this off on? I did this a lot as a kid, but to be honest I would hate to try to function with that much sleep interruption now.
Call around to friends or local cat rescue shelters and ask if they know of a mother cat with kittens. She would likely accept it.
My sister secretly took in a kitten decades ago. She was fed kitten similac from a doll’s baby bottle, even holding it with her paws. She was so cute that my parents relented and let her keep Misty.
If the kitten is VERY young (younger than six weeks), she may have behavioral issues.
Also keep it warm (if you’re having a cold snap). Heating pad on low with a couple of towels on top may keep it cozy and comforted. Are the eyes still blue?
Corrected.......

There were 2 litter mates in the nest that had passed already, will head out to walmart
Eye dropper, slow. Warm the milk to room temp. If you have a heating pad put it on low with a blanket over it and lay the cat on it. This works for puppies too. I rescued a grey tiger stripe that I thought was froze beyond saving. Shes my house mouser and a pain in the arse. No mice has a price. Good luck.
Lots of good advise here but no one has suggested to sit back and watch a scary movie with it :)

My Kroger store has kitten replacement milk. Whiskas, I think. Buy a bottle with extra nipples, because as it grows, it will bite the the ends off.
Where are you located?
Barn cats are cool. They are pretty tough.. All good advice given here. I will say a prayer for this kitty..
