A protester outside the Georgia training facility on Saturday where Colin Kaepernick is due to work out for several NFL teams carried an American flag and brought a sign calling the controversial quarterback an 'un-American loser' who should 'get out of my town.'
Another protester put up a sign that read 'Stand up for the flag'. A number of miniature Stars and Stripes were seen in the lawn in front of the Atlanta Falcons practice facility in Flowery Branch.
Alongside protesters, there were also supporters of Kaepernick. One of them held a sign which read: 'I'm with Kap.'
Kaepernick landed in Atlanta on Friday ahead of this weekend's workout in front of scouts from 25 NFL teams, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

This is just a few miles from me. The town used to be called “Crooked Stick” but changed the name a long time ago to Flowery Branch.

Why is the NFL bending over backwards, to give a tryout to him? Why have the majority of NFL teams decided to attend this tryout?
Is this a media event, a staged public event to prove that the NFL is not blacklisting him?
But then, if this ends up with no team signing him, won’t this backfire?
Or is it all staged, and a team has already decided they will take one for the team, the NFL, and sign him?
What’s really going on here? They never give highly publicized tryouts to journeymen players who have been away from the game for a few years.

He was a 2nd/3rd string bench warmer, that had a good season a while back, he is 33 and been out of football for about 3 years now. He is week old fish now, he stinks
Any team would be better off investing in a fresh athlete to integrate with their players.
He is way over rated and the only reason we heard of him is because of what he did, and it was nothing to do with any of his athletic abilities.

Aside from his disrespect of our flag (which is HUGE to me), what does Kaepernick or any of the other players see as the end-game here?
They are supposedly protesting “social and racial injustice”, but it’s not like their protest can EVER result in them being satisfied that neither social nor racial injustice no longer exists. No matter how many hundreds of millions of $$ the NFL or anyone else throws at them. No matter how many “programs” are started as a result of their protests.
So, they’ve chosen to engage in a “protest” with no possible end - because no-one ever expects there to be “zero” or even “less” social, racial, etc injustice.
That’s my problem with all this, and what makes me think it’s not about the supposed protest, but maybe just a way of being pricks and disrespecting our flag and/our American values in general. Because there is no way, regardless of how much or how frequently he or any other NFL player protests, that they will EVER be “satisfied” that they’ve accomplished this vague, undefined goal they’ve set out for themselves to achieve.
Ravens, Bills, Panthers, Bears, Vikings, Cowboys that I thought I heard.
