No deal unless it includes a working Titan II missile.

Someone’s going to buy it, fix it up nice, and make a killing AirBnB’ing that thing out.

How does the air ventilation system work? Are there numerous vent pipes sticking up out of the ground?
In the case of a total economic collapse could not people above ground just stuff up the vent pipes?

Knew a guy that made a ridiculously low bid on one in NM and got it. Last I heard he hadn’t figured out how to get all the trash out of the bottom of it.

"
There is no internal plumbing and the listing warns that it would need a septic system installed."
So you could sit in this bunker, fire off a ICBM towards Russia and you had to go out doors to wiz?

If you haven’t seen it, the Titan Site in Tucson is really for a tour.
It was originally a training facility and was used in Star Trek First Contact.

The property is situated on a 12 + acre parcel with boundless views. Private yet not too remote. Quick easy access to Tucson and just 20 minutes for supplies. 3-D interactive tour coming soon. Shown only to qualified buyers with proof of funds or private financing. (Do not trespass or attempt to visit site without permission). For the curious but not the serious, check out the Titan Missile Museum in Sahuarita." And hey...the seller will finance!

Speaking of weapons, of a sort, I was recently watching “The Patriot.’’ What does the expression “Aim small, miss small’’ mean?

Very cool. On 12 acres? Someone will purchase it and make it real nice. If I had the money, I'd buy it!

I used to explore/vandalize old Atlas missle sites around Cheyenne WY. Great fun, they were coffin style sites where the missile was horizontal and had to be tilted up (by a gigantic erection mechanism!) to about 30 degrees for firing. The aluminium skin was not strong enough to support the weight until is was filled with fuel and pressurized, so there was a vast array of tanks, pumps, pipes, etc. Fascinating technology, and the coffin area made a great shooting range, with the old blast pit at the far end as a backstop.
One of those sites has been converted to a self-sufficient home which has been listed for sale for millions of dollars. I’m sure it cost a sizeable amount to put it in shape and create all the infrastructure because it looked about like this one in the 70s. Of course asking and getting are very different things. But it would have appeal for preppers as well as anyone looking for a place with a 20 car garage.

With the right offer, 10 people for about 35k each could purchase this 12 acre property..The zillo listing is fascinating. I figure about another 100k for power and a well. Great place for solar power too.

I’d want assurances Russia and China took it off their target list first.
