My takeaway from yesterday's impeachment hearings was simply; Are you kidding me? Both witnesses, career diplomats William Taylor and George Kent assigned to the Ukraine offered little more than hearsay. Both men, knowledgeable about the Ukraine, including the high level of corruption in government offered nothing more that “I heard this or that, or “he said, or “she said”, or “I think possibly…”, “I believe this or that,” and it appears maybe.. and so on. To me it was laughable. Frantically stirring this empty pot of hearsay was Democrat Adam Schiff, the hearing chairman. Sort of funny watching Schiff getting excited or irritated; His neck protrudes even more from his shirt collar and his eyes bug out in proportion to his irritability. Shiff is a cartoon artist’s dream come true with many physical features to exaggerate.. As for the hearings and witness testimony; In a court of law the witnesses would be thrown out of the room. However, in these kangaroo court hearings it appears hearsay, even from an anonymous “whistle blower” has credibility. As I see it,, no one laid a glove on Trump. But then I have Democrat friends wetting themselves in excitement thinking yesterday’s testimony was God’s holy word condemning Trump to the fires of impeachment hell. If anything, yesterday’s testimony highlighted a corrupt Ukrainian government, Hunter Biden and the Ukraine Company Burisma Holdings and a shady Oligarch in charge.. This whole thing will likely to blow up in the Democrats face and I doubt the fools see it coming..
This is what the left does. Why anyone falls for their bs amazes me. They live for this stuff - using the government to go after political enemies and rewarding their friends. They care nothing for regular folks as they claim.

The morons will do anything to keep “Trump” linked with “impeach” in the public view believing the “tell the lie often enough” strategy that worked so well for the Nazi’s will get Americans so tired of it they will get rid of him. So far the only thing I am so tired of is looking at Adam Schiff’s bulging bug eyes.

The Democrat politicians have no concern for the American Taxpayer.
They get the big money from other sources.
Nobody is really buying it.
Basically it breaks down into two groups of people.
Republicans and Independents who can see it’s ridiculous and don’t believe it.
Democrats who see it and don’t believe it, but they want Dems to win to ensure they continue to get FREE SH** or implement some social justice agenda they want that they’re willing to look the other way and pretend they believe it.
The impeachment hearings “bombshell” was a complete dud, and now for something totally different and designed to distract the unwashed; School shooting in Santa Clarita!
One side-effect of these regular, televised, nonsense Democrat-Congressional political circuses (I’m thinking of Kavanaugh, Mueller, and now Ukraine) is that Americans will simply tune out, and give up hope that Congress can be serious, or that a Constitutional Democracy can work. They will steadily lose respect for the one institution that stands between them and bureaucratic dictatorship.
Perhaps the deep state welcomes this.

As soon Trump made his phone call to the Ukrainian president, the Left started this fabricated case against him to avoid their own corruption from getting exposed and with the added benefit of getting Trump out of office, or at least damaged politically, before the 2020 election.

That’s all this is about. Everything else is just window dressing, the demand that there’s wrongdoing to be upset over.
And this is usually coming from people who simply do not care if their people do wrong.
They will, and have, give their own a pass in the same heartbeat as they will demand blood for proverbial jaywalking years ago by a Republican.
There is no contradiction, the DNC types see us as the enemy. They may feign friendship but it’s a situationally fickle as they are.
Republicans in Congress have a long history of being blind to this.

Didn’t watch the farce but read a few articles with snippets of the testimony.
IIRC, Taylor says that he was told by a staffer...blah blah blah blah. Is that correct? If so, did any of the Republican’s ask him to identify the staffer? Be great to see Taylor stutter and stammer around that answer, knowing he was going to have to either toss some junior level staffer under the bus(which I’m sure he’d have no problem doing) or admit that he didn’t hear it from a staffer(perjury).
I’ll go with throwing a staffer under the bus. Subpoena the staffer and ask them, under oath, who they spoke with. That will go back to the two options that Taylor had....someone gets thrown under the bus or they lie.
If they admit to lying, then the whole thing ends right there.
If they give up a name, that person is brought in and they have to tell how they obtained the information. After that, it’s just a matter of putting all these people in the places they say they were and verifying their information, which is amazingly easy to do. It wouldn’t be like no one knowing or telling where Soetero was when the attack on the US consulate was going on.

Up until a few hours ago, I had read parts and pieces of the "transcript of the call".
I decided to print it out and read it, start to finish.
I was surprised that it is only 5 pages and I read it in less than 10 minutes.
I re-read it and took my time, the second time I took 15 minutes.
There is absolutely NOTHING IN THIS TRANSCRIPT that can get anybody impeached.
Every witness that will testify, can only give their opinion on the call.
The facts speak for themselves, and there was "no treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors".
