NATIONWIDE – Disney recently launched its new streaming service Disney+ in the U.S.
And while many are talking about all the new shows and movies they can watch, others are taking a closer look at the company's classic offerings.
Disney's classic movies like Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, The Aristocats, Peter Pan and The Jungle Book now come with disclaimers, warning users of "outdated cultural depictions."
The disclaimer is included in the plot description for the films. It reads: "This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions."
Older Disney films have been criticized for featuring racial stereotypes like the Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp, the Native American characters in Peter Pan, and the crows in Dumbo.
One controversial film users won't find on Disney+ is "Song of the South," the 1946 film that has been criticized for its depictions of African Americans.
Disney+ officially launched Tuesday to great fanfare, but it was not without its problems. Some users reported login issues while other said they had trouble accessing certain content.

For heavens sake! Enough of the snowflakery already!
Exactly and that’s why it’s disgusting that Disney is going to place a leftist message on these G rated films. Don’t be fooled by Disney they are peddling filth and they intend to take your kids hard left.
“...Tom and his friends play hot jazz, Jerry objects, everybody runs around like crazy people.... its a Tom and Jerry short, whattaya want?”
I loved it when the white woman with Mammy’s voice answers the phone and goes, “A party!!? At MY house!!? Excuuuse me!!!” and flies down the street like a tank.
Later, “Dadgum cats!! Done messed up my whole evening! Oh well, I’ll just listen me to some soft, serene, relaxing, HOT MUSIC!!” and Jerry is right back where he started.
I don't know that they would. Virtually every show if their original programming is this left wing propaganda. Even if they did finally decide to make a shift it would take much longer than I am willing to wait. No, I'm done with Netflix as soon as I see that "Irishman" flick.
classic movies - -
Been having trouble with “Baby its Cold Outside” lately.
Hey - Doesn’t Global Warming cure that???
I’m more concerned with Disney showing perversions in their movies than this PC hooey.
Hey, that’s better than pulling the movie altogether over “outdated cultural depictions”.
I don't care about or pay attention to their guidance. Having that is better than censorship - my only point.
NeoDisney knowingly hires chickenhawk homosexuals to make their product.
Once Disney left the family and went to Eisner
That killed what once was
Anyone could see it coming
Eisner was typical Godless Hollywood
Replaced by Uncle Sharpton And The Game of the Grift
Oh please! The REAL Walt was the best. All this stuff especially Eisner+ is going to be outdated, too, including desperately self-consciously trying to indoctrinate all of us with their “we’re all the same” garbage.
Real Walt was kind and sweet (with some realism), and produces much better citizens than the cynical PC diatribes found ever since Eisner took over.
Well, Song of the South was banned decades ago and remains so. I never got to see it, just the “zipedeedoodah” segment that they LOVE to use for how happy and wonderful Disney is. Ironic. I hear it’s basically about a nice black man who tells good black fables. Big deal.
What makes you think they won’t start just banning L&T just because it has Siamese cats?
I’m shocked they’re showing this much at all.
This just got me thinking, maybe I BETTER start buying DVDs or tapes of these movies. Before long it may be the only way I can see them - and maybe start showing them to younger who have been sheltered from their horror.
I found it on YouTube, but it is not allowed to be played “in your country”.
Yet shillary can get away with, “I ain’t no ways tired” while speaking in a very southern black accent.
Great old duet, now considered misogynist by lefty snowflakes.
BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE
(her)....................(him)
I really can't stay - Baby it's cold outside
I've got to go away - Baby it's cold outside
This evening has been - Been hoping that you'd drop in
So very nice - I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice
My mother will start to worry - Beautiful, what's your hurry
My father will be pacing the floor - Listen to the fireplace roar
So really I'd better scurry - Beautiful, please don't hurry
Well Maybe just a half a drink more - Put some music on while I pour
The neighbors might think - Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink - No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how - Your eyes are like starlight now
To break this spell - I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
I ought to say no, no, no, sir - Mind if I move a little closer
At least I'm gonna say that I tried - What's the sense in hurting my pride
I really can't stay - Baby don't hold out
Ahh, but it's cold outside
(him) C'mon baby
I simply must go - Baby, it's cold outside
The answer is no - Ooh baby, it's cold outside
This welcome has been - I'm lucky that you dropped in
So nice and warm -- Look out the window at that storm
My sister will be suspicious - Man, your lips look so delicious
My brother will be there at the door - Waves upon a tropical shore
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious - Gosh your lips look delicious
Well maybe just a half a drink more - Never such a blizzard before
I've got to go home - Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me your comb - It's up to your knees out there
You've really been grand - Your eyes are like starlight now
But don't you see - How can you do this thing to me
There's bound to be talk tomorrow - Making my life long sorrow
At least there will be plenty implied - If you caught pneumonia and died
I really can't stay - Get over that old out
Ahh, but it's cold outside
(both) Baby it's cold outside
Fine with me I ignore that, watched Davy Crockett my favorite from my childhood, just as good as then!
I understand but 1st of all censorship is unacceptable. Neither is leftist messaging a good thing. Censorship will be next.
My husband and I found the video on the Internet; it’s out there.
(If I remember correctly, we found it on a site called bannedfilms.com.)
