Royal experts fear Prince Harry and his wife's reported plans to skip the Queen's Christmas gathering at Sandringham this year risk perpetuating their perceived distance from the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly told the Queen they will not spend son Archie's first Christmas with the monarch at her country estate in Norfolk.
Prince Harry and his wife are undecided what to do for Christmas, but have chosen to spend it away from other Royals at the traditional get-together, The Sun reported this morning.
Royal watchers fear the move could worsen tensions between the couple and the rest of the Royal Family, following recent from comments from Harry that he and his brother were 'on different paths at the moment.'

Frankly, I would just like to see ‘the Sussexes’ free from their mammoth financial stipend from the taxpayers in Britain. If they don’t want to follow The Firm’s rules, they should reject their ‘titles and money’ and move to LA, where Meghan wants to be anyway. No more hypocrisy from ‘the Sussexes’ or plain old Harry and Meghan. She can support them with her actress income.
No. I have never been royalty but I totally get why an American (even a woke one) needs a break from The UK and a holiday steered clear of extended relatives she wouldn’t want to be spending time with otherwise. Like Prince Andrew.
And Princess Diana detailed these gatherings. They can be very petty and she was constantly condescended to.
Christmas should be enjoyable.
The whole family is dysfunctional. Skirt chasing daddy, pedo uncle, drunk aunts, etc... His father is unbelievably weak. Probably do to being pampered his whole life. It's no wonder Harry gravitated to a strong, domineering woman. ( not saying that in her case it's a good thing. It's not because it's coupled with narcissism. )
Meg is also pampered princess in her own way and add that to her American upbringing, domineering personality and that doesn't mix well with British Royal life. The Royals have one power structure that you can not disagree with so being passive aggressive within that family is a way of life.

Yup. I sympathize with Meghan here regardless of her politics. And I think she is doing her bit to protect Harry and her baby. I can imagine the environment to be toxic.

(PS-I am sure the rest of the Royal Family is relieved to hear that Me-again has decided they won’t participate in Christmas with Archie’s great-grandmother. The Royal Family will at least have some respite from Me-again’s drama. )

I'm amazed that everyone assumes this is 100 percent Meghan's doing. I guess she's the easier target, but really, suddenly we believe the press? Why?
