What a sad, desolate way to go. It can happen to anyone if you go too deeply into unfamiliar terrain.
There are several dark, winding and unmarked roads not far from me. Most surround public parks. I would not drive on such roads at night.
I don’t even like driving to Stinson Beach in the middle of the day. That’s close to Sausalito, Ca.
Great vistas to enjoy, if somebody else is driving.
Some Cal, natives told me they took their driver’s exams around places like Stinson. So there’s that.

What is a "mohel" and how did that make him famous in just one episode of Seinfeld almost 3 decades ago?
Can anybody help explain this? Thanks.

Wedged between trees sounds like a big cat. What a shame to go that way.

His body was naked and wedged between two trees. Hmmmm, sounds like he may have been on an especially rough canoe trip. Id be on the lookout for these guys:

Why was he naked?
Why was he wedged between 2 trees?
Was he drunk?
Was he high?
Had he been alone? (other than the dog)
Was he gay? (speaks to bad choices of hook ups)
This story was VERY informative ... NOT!

It's easy to get lost, and GPS doesn't work. GPS works just fine. If you have the right topo map app. I use Gaia GPS whenever I leave pavement. And I'm in my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Looks like his vehicle got stuck, broke down or ran out of gas. Then he tried to walk out, and he tumbled off a bluff or hillside and into a ravine. A really tough set of circumstances, especially for a 70-year-old man. RIP.

The report indicated signs of animal scavenging likely in the form of turkey vultures.
Take this as a warning.
Your turkey vulture will eat you if you die.
The "vulture" part should have been a clue.
