Even with some significant household names and star power taking the field for Monday's Giants-Cowboys game in the Meadowlands, the night's biggest headliner came via a most unexpected (and unsettling) candidate -- a rogue black cat. That's right, a black cat stole the show on "Monday Night Football.''
It may not have been the best omen for either New York or Dallas but the cat provided quite a lot of entertainment value for everyone watching both inside the stadium and at home. After somehow making its way onto the field during the second quarter of the contest, the poor kitty spent a few minutes running around the field rather helplessly as it tried to figure out where it was and why tens of thousands of strangers were watching its every move.

He found the end zone.....................
I hope the kitty is OK and didn’t run in front of a car in the parking lot or be taken to a kill shelter.
Very sad and a whole bunch of assholes enjoying it.
Are WE allowed to say BLACK cat?
Isn’t the Politically correct term African American Cat?
Would rather watch the cat than any of the kneeling f**kwits of the NFL.
Very sad and a whole bunch of assholes enjoying it.
Yep.... no one had the sense to just call the local Chinese restaurant....
Albert Collins “My Woman Has A Black Cat Bone”.
That cat is famous now
If it is at a shelter, it will have 1000s of people wanting to adopt it.
McCavity?
Same here. I hope no creep sneaked it in for giggles; it's hard to imagine a kitty approaching all that commotion voluntarily, even in a city.
The cat has been hired as offensive coordinator for both the Jets and the Giants because he was able to find the end zone, something both teams are having a hard time doing this season.
I saw something saying it had run under some seating and that there are several “ferals” (and I am referring to cats)that live there in the stadium, and people feed them and check up on them.
I kept waiting for someone or a couple people to sit down on the grass and called the kitty over to them. I expect the kitty was quite frightened; probably thinks that was another one of his lives, down the drain.
Will race riots ensue? All I saw was a bunch of white troopers chasing a displaced black guy. Thats rasssism if I ever done seen it. Someone call the squad.
Black cats have hard time getting adopted.
Well they didn't name the movie, "African American Panther", did they?
Me too! I hope it was eventually captured and brought to a no-kill shelter. What a beautiful cat! I had to chuckle when I saw about 5 men in uniforms taking steps towards him. I knew they would never get him!
Apparently not.
Boomer said on the radio this morning that he has a friend who works at Met Life Stadium. It seems there are several - dozens - of cats that live in the stadium feeding on mice, rats and dumpster food. They are feral and this was one of them.
