Jim Jordan and others witnessing the hearings would not denounce them as unfair by design and demand the public or at least others have access to them if later anyone hoped to use them as tribunals. The very nature of the basement, secret meetings wherein opposing counsel is not permitted and a Dem has to be present when a republican reads any of the documentation works against the public credibility that POTUS and his administration are trying to restore to our country, and will need for the public to accept rulings.
