You need to share this information with other like minded parents (church, family, friends). I hate to say it, but you may have to compromise your principles and put some of your concerns on Facebook, or better yet have someone else with a FB acct post it.
I hate FB with a passion, but too often it seems that I have to access Mrs. P’s FB acct to find out what is going on in my community.
I already have it on facebook ;-)

My town has early elections now.
One of the ballot initiatives is to amend the city charter to *require* city council agendas be published in advance (which would be good, since they never were before— you had to go to silly hall and look on the bulletin board) but only on Facebook, but publication prohibited or not required (unclear wording) in local newspaper.
So what we have here is voter suppression of FB refusniks.
