Ok here goes... Where/When did California get SO Screwed Up, I mean what was the pivotal Event/Year?
How did he get schnookered into that?
Congress was supposed to fund BUILDING THE WALL and implement other immigration controls to stop illegals from coming in. Nothing was done.
That’s why my position is that all illegals that have come in since the Reagan Amnesty must be forced to leave, along with their non-citizen Anchor Babies, many of whom now have Anchor Babies of their own. We’re into the third generation of illegals being treated as citizens.
Only problem with your assertion is the fact that Reagan was elected in 1966 and reelected in 1970.
That’s part of it, but also the mass influx of illegal aliens played a big part as well. Don’t think that Ca. doesn’t allow illegals to vote in their elections and even national elections. Because they own the government through & through there.

I was born in Hollywood, and raised in Long Beach. How MORE Californian can one get. I’m approaching 73, and my post reflects on the time I grew up which was the 1950’s, and early 1960’s. I know what was happening then, and what the talk was. The talk of the time all came to fruition. Everybody knew what was happening to our State, THE State with the best education system, the best living conditions was on its way out.
It didn’t help to have the Browns, the Getty’s, the Newsom’s, the Pelosi’s even back then. They milked the State as now they milk the union.

This was the eruption into the open of the Decadence of Western Civilization in America.
Civilizations fall because of internal moral rot and decay. The counter-culture movement was the eruption into the open of the moral rot and decay that had been festering in America.
Its battle cries were "If it feels good, do it!" and "Sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll!"
Its proponents claimed a "new morality," which was nothing more than immorality, and other virtues that were dubious at best.
In fact, it stood for nothing more than the self-indulgence of the "entitled," "anointed," spoiled children of the men and women who had built the USA from an untamed wilderness, suffered through World War I and the Great Depression, and saved the world from the horrors of naziism and the Japanese Empire in World War II, sashaying down the staircase of civilization in their "velvet slippers."
They were the typical "entitled," "anointed," spoiled, self-indulgent children of rich parents everywhere and for all time, but in large numbers, on a national level.
Maybe this is what decadence is: When the number of "entitled," "anointed," spoiled children of rich parents reaches a critical mass, decadence ensues, and, if it is not reversed, the nation is doomed.
Today these people have commandeered the entire Democrat Party.
It started long ago and kept heading towards Venezuela vollapse without any going back.
California never cut taxes, never shrank gov’t and never slowed socialism.
The rise of Hollywood and boom of Silicon Valley fueled the revenues, keeping the collapse from happening while empowering the socialists.
But now the wall is approaching and California is on a collision course.
Nothing can stop it.
I think it was when we passed a proposition which changed our legislature from a part time legislature who were paid a stipend to a to a fulltime well paid legislature who regarded it as a career and a stepping stone to higher office, and began all sorts of expensive programs and high taxes to pay for those programs to keep themselves in office. We did this foolish thing because we thought California was so big that we needed a full time legislature. Of course, Rosie and the Supremes were very destructive as well. However, I should not be saying “we,” I left the state about 1998.
Two pronged. The relaxation of immigration brought an influx of south of the border types into Orange County. Once a right center place it slipped, went BK and emerged as a center left place.
Before that, it had to be in the Haight Asbury period of the 60s. The anti war movement, which was really anti draft, the related rise in stature and influence by the UCAL system culminating with the push to remove the military from the Bay area in the 80s. There is no way back now as the dems are too entrenched in power with the tech revolution crowd calling the shots.

I am on the East Coast Boston area but still remember in California incumbent B1 Bob Dornan a freeper type right wing republican being beaten for representative in 1996 by Loretta Sanchez in a questionable fraudulent election and the Republicans not helping him out.
The gutless Republicans didn't want to offend the "Hispanics and illegal aliens who would become future voters.

Yeah, I remember that too. B-1 Bob could have toned it down a tad, and still been effective, but yes it was definitely Democrat fraud that brought him down, and then he was told to shut up, and disappear by the GOP.
It went the same way everything else will go unless we do something about the out of control leftist indoctrination in our public schools. Something HAS to be done about them or this country is doomed to fail.

No kidding, I was making 8 times less as a private.
