An Ebola cure emerged from a war zone Wall Street Journal (10/30/19) McKay, Betsy
In a medical breakthrough, two new drugs are saving lives from the Ebola virus and helping uncover tools against other deadly infectious diseases.
They were proven effective in a gold-standard clinical trial conducted by an international coalition of doctors and researchers in the middle of armed violence. The work of Congolese virologist Jean-Jacques Muyembe Tamfum, director-general of Congos National Institute of Biomedical Research, known as the INRB, yielded one of the new Ebola drugs.
He was among the first scientists to identify the Ebola virus, which has taken the lives of an estimated 3,000 people in his country and threatened many more around the world. Researchers tested four experimental drugs, and two were most effective.
The trial was conducted at four Ebola treatment centers, essentially tent-sided field hospitals, scattered across a violent swath of northeastern Congo during the worlds second-largest outbreak of the disease. In addition to the threat from the contagious virus, researchers dodged attacks by warring local groups.
Two of the treatment centers were set on fire. Preliminary results were released on August 12, days after the trial ended. Final results are expected to be published soon in a medical journal.
Beyond Ebola, the new drugs open a pathway for antibody-based treatments for other infectious diseases, said Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which ran the trial with the INRB and a research group coordinated by the World Health Organization.

Lifelong New Yorker Donald Trump and wife Melania declare themselves FLORIDA residents and change their primary address from Fifth Avenue to Mar-a-Lago because he ‘pays millions in taxes’ and ‘few have been treated worse’
Your post got me to thinking.
Given Bush Sr was the CIA director prior to being VP and the 1 thing Reagan did wrong was the Amnesty. The reason during for this and that in Reagan’s 2nd term his health declined is that he became aware of what his VP and others were doing, but knew he couldn’t do anything about it. Or perhaps he became aware and they too actions against him.
State residence is just a social construct.
Aerospace researcher - said to have been "a ballistics genius inventing a process for long range artillary and even the orbiting of payloads via artillary guns." He was assassinated in 1990 a day or two after returning from Iraq.
Speculation was that he was assassinated by "either the Iranians, the Israeli Mossad, the British M-I6, or the CIA. (I'm glad I know nothing about aerospace ballistics)
Part of the FBI document tries to determine if Bull had knowledge of Iraqi chemical, nuclear, or biological weaponry. Events surrounding his assasination (items seized before and after) are suspected of relating to a "super canon" he had developed. Seizure of nuclear triggering devices meant for iraq, long metal tubes seized in Britain thought to be cannon barrel(s). At least one of the documetns in the PDF was directed to William Sessions, Director of the FBI under Bill Clinton.
I am skimming the document now and will have to read through more carefully later.

More like financial. I lived in two states for ten years, commuting weekly. Always hated paying taxes in both.
