I put most of my gardening efforts into growing food, but thought I'd try planting some flower bulbs this fall.

Reminds me I’ve got some daffodil bulbs to plant . . . What’s a good online source of bulbs this time of year (autumn)?

I’ve often thought a fun tool would be a bulb gun.

Maybe the bulb could be encased in a biodegradable plastic “bullet” that would protect it and provide fertilizer.

I’m undecided whether it would be best to be air, hydraulic, or explosive powered, but imagine the fun if you could point a bazooka-like device at the ground, then Boom! - bulb planted.

Could get a lot more men interested in gardening if you combined planting and explosions. And with the NFL waning, think of all those extra Sunday hours available.

I can foresee lawns practically blanketed in crocus, daffodils and tulips.

Someone told me about https://www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com/ so I used them. I’ve seen them in Lowes/Home Depot also but can’t speak to their quality.

This video talks about a “Bulb Auger” that you use with your power drill. Looks like it might be good

There is a weekly gardening thread. You might want to post a link to this there.

You’re right. If deer have access to them, they will definitely end up as deer candy in the Spring. I planted mine in the back yard where deer do not venture near our dog.

Use the search bar. Put in the word "weekly" and search for titles. One of your results will be Weekly Garden Thread. You can also ask to have your name added to the list so you get notified every week.
