Wow! Big news indeed. So far as I know, this is the first time this has happened. I think a friend of mine knows your priest and told me about him. A good man, and obviously a brave one.

FWIW, several weeks ago one of our Associate Pastors gave a passionate sermon questioning how anyone could vote for a politician who advocates abortion and still be consider themselves a good Catholic. It was a long sermon, but it was one the best sermons he has ever given. The congregation was so focused, you could hear a pin drop. When he was done, we gave him an enormous ovation.
Our bishops, down to the pastoral level, should be hammering this every week.

The verb "to refuse" in this context is ambiguous.
The headline does not make clear whether Biden refused Communion or was refused Communion.
I propose substituting the verb "to denied" for "to refuse."

If more Catholic priests did this to Catholic politicians who support abortion and the gay agenda, the Church would be stronger, not weaker. The rogues would leave, and the remnant would be real Catholics. In my area alone, Sen. Patty Murray, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (open lesbian), and Wa State AG Bob Ferguson, all Catholics, are proudly defiant of church teaching on those issues, as are probably 60% of the people in the pews.
