Wouldn’t the government nationalize the guard? Put it under their control?That would require a lot of cooperation from the members of that state's Guard, wouldn't it?

Wasn’t the Guard sent to Korea first? (history lessons). Did all the states agree at that time? People say that in America the military wouldn’t fire on its own citizens - that was up until Kent State.
