I work in the administration of justice. It is supposed to be one of the important foundations of the justice system that the people see that justice is done and the authority of the law is vindicated. This growing sense of a lot of people that theres a two track justice system is as dangerous to the republic as the attempted coup. Whats with the slow walking of the IG report. I thought the President ordered broad declassification. That being the case, why are there going to be redactions? The travesty of the issuance of a pass to the deep state while even while we speak theyre attempting once again to overthrow the government is an abomination
Trump gave permission to declassify. He did not order that it be done, let alone done immediately.
I’m not gonna mope unless & until the IG report drops and is a 100% fizzle. For one thing, the protracted haggling over the redactions suggests the content is no joke — i.e. that it’s substantial and revealing. Also, I don’t think the IG report needs to be the kill shot in itself. It just needs to crack open the door for Barr and Durham. A revelation of smoke in the IG report sets the stage for their more aggressive investigations to finish the job.
“I thought the President ordered broad declassification.”
Apparently, when the President orders his subordinates to declassify and release something, it’s just a suggestion now.
Indeed, a politicized judiciary is a hallmark of tyranny.
IMO, there likely have been targeted, tactical leaks and legal mouse traps have been snapping all over the spectrum. Each snap may sequentially influence the nature and size of the report.
Not telling you anything you don't know, but it is at the same time an investigation and the preparation of multiple legal cases, on an overthrow-of-the-government scale never before witnessed by our country. All of which, of course, takes time and must be handled very carefully.
