Focus of Durham Probe Shifts to Senior Obama Officials

John Durham, the U.S. attorney tasked with investigating the origins of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign in 2016, is expected to seek an interview with former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper following an expansion of his investigation. It was reportedly the meetings Durham and Attorney General William Barr recently had in Rome—where they obtained new evidence—that were the impetus for the broadening of the scope of the probe. According to Fox News’ Catherine Herridge, her sources told her that Durham is now “very interested to question” Brennan and Clapper.

Oh sure, that’s how you do it. Politely request an interview that Clapper, who is now a private citizen, will surely just decline.

Yeah. My thoughts exactly. We at FR have know this for years and the fact that the administration (i.e. the justice department) is just now getting around to this layer of the crime-and that we are this close to the election-shows you the actual intentions they have regarding the investigation.

We all knew about this in 2017 and this should have been done in the first six months. The fact it’s taken this long is an embarrassment and is incompetence to say the least.

Apparently, when the President orders his subordinates to declassify and release something, it’s just a suggestion now.

This growing sense of a lot of people that there’s a two track justice system is as dangerous to the republic as the attempted coup....What’s with the slow walking of the IG report.

Indeed, a politicized judiciary is a hallmark of tyranny.

IMO, there likely have been targeted, tactical leaks and legal mouse traps have been snapping all over the spectrum. Each snap may sequentially influence the nature and size of the report.

Not telling you anything you don't know, but it is at the same time an investigation and the preparation of multiple legal cases, on an overthrow-of-the-government scale never before witnessed by our country. All of which, of course, takes time and must be handled very carefully.
