Got one for ya.
This was also a special needs kid. If you can’t control your temper you should not be a school resource officer.
I hate bullies. Fire him. Who cares how many milks the kids take?
Think that little cow has had enough milk.
Well, technically, the entity who bought the milks would care. The proper response by this Resource Officer would have been to simply pay for the extra milks after he witnessed the event.
Or was this Resource Officer lacking in resources? Monetary and mentally.
They had just started the School Resource Officer position when I was in High School (early 1990's). It became a running joke because all he did was sit in the gym all day and ogle the girls gym classes.

Roughs up a school girl?
SOMEBODY didn't pass his psych eval...
...and somebody hired him anyway.
Find that person, make a horrible example of him or her. Do that every time a sociopath with a badge and gun misbehaves.
Word will get around and departments will stop hiring psychopaths.
Train to shoot kids, start by roughing a girl up, end with dead kids.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
He may roughed her up, but he did it bravely, courageously, fearlessly, gallantly, giving absolutely no to her age. He would have done the same thing if she was 3 years old. Medals should be flowing his way.
She has special needs. There was zero reason for him to do what he did.

The girl has a lawyer. It’s all about the money. Her “special needs” and “justice” are measured in $U.S.
I'm not talking like a liberal here, but that's awfully judgmental of you. How do you know what her mental faculties are like? Do you know what grade level she reads at?
Being New Mexico, she probably reads at the second or third grade level. I’d need to see the parents or, more likely, the baby mamma to make a better judgement. The great thing about responding to articles and videos posted here is that one may be judgmental based on the skinniest slivers of evidence.
If not, please reserve judgment.
What does that have to do with not being treated like a criminal?
Not acting like one.
Anyone could be faced with an armed child, not just police.
The fact that the picture is a target for the gun range means that if the officer fails to shoot and take cover instead, or run or just talk to the child the officer will fail their rotation at the range that day.
Some Departments encourage aggressive behavior too.
Its us or them.
How was she acting like a criminal?
