A local CBS reporter in California was apparently fired after he during a live news segment climbed atop classic, privately-owned cars, even seemingly damaging one of them in the process.

Brilliant.
When I lived in Orlando, we had a used car dealer who did that all the time on his commercials.
IF he did that to one of my cars, he’d never do it again because he’d have no legs anymore...they’d be gone to alligator bayou..
That’s what scantily clad young women used to do when the new cars and trucks were displayed back in Detroit.
Lot’s of swimsuits and mink coats.
It doesn’t really work with a guy.
Betcha is this clown was covering a car show put on the Latino car clubs in East LA showing off their low riders he wouldn’t even THINK of behaving this way. JS
Some gorgeous old T-Birds in that collection.
Wow, too stupid to even work for a CBS news affiliate? I guess some people are just too stupid to employ.
I remember the auto shows at the old Coliseum at Columbus Circle in NYC. The Buick exhibit seemed to have the most attractive models, not to mention whoever the then current Miss Mopar was at the Plymouth exhibit to sell Road Runners and Barracudas :)
Yeah jumping on my Dodge Challenger, that there is a surefire way to get a heap of damage done to you.
That there and heap :)
Another 5 years on this board and I won’t sound like a NYer at all :)
did he take his stupid pill or what?
I absolutely detest it when something is caught on camera and the media still says *allegedly* and *seemingly*.
He did ti. It’s a fact, plain to see.
That guy was an idiot. Probably a typical entitled Liberal. You DON’T touch other people’s cars!
Art Grindle. Saw him jump on a convertible during the Saturday afternoon creature feature (late 60s/ early 70s) and fell through the rag top. Jumped up and tore his price card in half (which, as you probably remember) he did all the time. Art was entertaining!
Probably?
I think the greatest thing about the responses to this thread, including your's, is that we ALL KNOW this idiot is exactly that, an entitled liberal, so disconnected from personal responsibility that we can barely recognize him a member of our civilization.
He’s probably of the opinion that cars are evil because they burn gasoline and cause global warming, and that private property should be abolished, or at least heavily taxed. And older cars emit more pollution than modern ones, so that’s a perfect reason to confiscate them.
So, if he damages someone’s treasured classic car, it really doesn’t matter, and he probably thinks the owner deserves it.
I doubt it. I know an Italian guy from Brooklyn who is around 80, and he sounds just like you!
You’re right :)
I might WRITE a little differently. :)
THIS HERE or THAT THERE are phrases I HAVE NEVER typed or spoken in my life before this board!
You mean a car guys car. I know a perfectly fine gentleman...but if sees a tiny bit of ash or tree detritus on his car...he gotta clean it off. If that reporter jumped on my car....he would need to wash up big time...it would ruin his clothes. Very inconsiderate reporter...he probably did other things that he shoulda been fired for.
