Thus could give new meaning, “to Thai one on.”
In ‘ the old days’ , Thailand’s ‘Lese Majest’ laws were designed to keep society’s low-life, mealy-mouthed cretins in line and always challenged for any dishonorable or royalty disparaging comment. It worked great for years and was rarely applied. Now...Fah Chai will weaponize and use these laws to defend his reign and indiscretions and to persecute those who try to disparage him, 100%. Just watch. Don’t be surprised to see executions. Nighttime feedings at the crocadile farms.
His son is a feckless dilettante who degrades the dignity of the throne. Didn't he elevate the Consort in the last year?
There are deep divisions in the Thai people. The old King kept them unified. This guy is doing damage.
I have never met any Thai that loes or respects this guy very much. Acquiescence probably best describes their attitudes since Rama 9 passed away. Even in the prior decades; no love or respect. They all wanted his sister, the beloved Phra Thep to ascend the throne after her father passed. Years ago , Rama 9 actually did change the laws of royal secession to state that females, as well as male heor to the throne, could be selected by the reigning monarch. Yet it was not to be. At this point, Phra Thep has better be real careful....
No happy ending....
Jokes aside, the old king was greatly loved and admired by his people. He took his job seriously and worked throughout his life for their welfare. Sadly the new king appears to be a royal playboy.
LOL
Two pees in a pod right there.

It might get a bit enhanced later
When I got stationed in Thailand, students were rioting, the military was beating people with batons, and general chaos ensued. After about six weeks of this Rama 9 came out of his palace and said, “Stop it,” and everyone went home.
Sure buddy. ...
