Any of these Perfumed Princes of the Pentagon who received their last promotion or promotions under 0bama are suspect. Active or retired. 0bama pretty much only allowed promotions of anyone above one star to those who were globalist - socialist homo-tranny loving, muslim tolerant politicians... They may have been true patriot warriors in the past, but he perverted them into a bunch of “Wormtongues’ (from Lord of the Rings).

Also be suspicious of any ‘butchy’ Command Sergeants Major...0bama made a lot of them too, not for their Senior NCO leadership abilities, but for their social engineering value.

Sorry brother (or sister), it is simply how I see it. Look up Kurt Schlichter at Townhall. He is a retired Army Colonel and has written more than a few books about the problem in government.

This was 1969-70. Attacking military members was the really cool thing for liberals and Democrats to do back then.

I really would like to see something original, instead of lousy remake after lousy remake. How about a YouTube video of Matt Bracken’s “What I Saw at the Coup”?

By `T-sip’ I assume you mean `tea sipper’. Like the Marine officer I knew who called Navy pilots “nasal radiators”.

McCraven was once the head SEAL. How would Deep State flag & general officers & their retired colleagues mount a coup against the President? A Seven Days in May scenario?

Any operation requires manpower, logistics, command & control, comms, and a concept of operations. Overthrowal of a head of state requires the staging of very volatile political forces. So just how might it work?

I understand completely.

I was so, so very lucky to do my active time in the 60’s when almost all from Lt Col on up were WW2 vets. I admired and respected the hell out of these men and would have followed them to the ends of the earth. Ditto for non-com E6-7’s ‘on up. But our beloved military took a royal shafting 2009-2017.

But our beloved military took a royal shafting 2009-2017.

It certainly went into overdrive during Obammy’s infection, but the downhill slide started years earlier in the mid 70s - early eighties when women were first integrated into men’s roles.

I thought military coups were supposed to overthrow communist regimes, not install them.

This reminds me of the film 7 days in May.
It is on youtube, if someone would post a link.

………..as an X UT Student, and a Veteran of 7 years service, I detest and despise Admiral McRaven. It’s no wonder that he left in a storm at UT. There’s a liberal crust on the pie that is UT but the filling is solid conservative. Admiral McRaven, many people in Texas don’t welcome you back in the State. Whatever you accomplished in the military, if anything, has been wiped away by your breach of your oath to support the Constitution.

For the perfumed prince “admiral” I would like to state: Sedition and treason are punishible by death for those in the military. mcraven should watch what he says lest someone take it upon themselves to serve such punishment upon him.

It is even worse. Most command officers are really concerned with optics. As an example;

In the late 1970’s I was assigned to an Aircraft Carrier on the west coast. I was an E-6, Master-at-Arms, (navy cop), and was assigned as the senior investigator in the ship’s investigation office.

Prior to arrival in Subic Bay, Philippines the Captain told me that he wanted drug detection dogs to be on the brow and to search berthing and working spaces for drugs, (which was a major problem in the 70’s). I had been stationed in the Philippines a few years before this assignment so I had contacts with the canine handlers on base and at Clark AFB.

I arranged for drug dogs from the base and Clark AFB to search the ship and to be stationed at the brow on the second morning in port. I put two dogs on the enlisted brow, (after brow), and 1 dog at the foot of the E-7 and up brow,(forward brow),(Chief Petty Officers and commissioned officers, along with guest/visitors used this brow while E-6 and below had to use the after brow).

We caught several sailors returning to the ship from liberty with drugs on their person and found drugs onboard during the canine searches of berthing and work spaces.

Sometime after lunch the Captain summoned me to his cabin and chewed me out. He wanted to know why I had a drug dog on the forward brow and why I had the dogs search Chief Petty Officer’s and Officer’s berthing.

He ordered me to never again search Chief Petty Officers or commissioned officer’s berthing and never to place a drug dog on the forward brow. His reasoning was “my Chiefs and Officers do not use drugs”.

His real concern was what the optics would be if senior enlisted and/or commissioned officers were busted with drugs, even though I had already received credible information that several of the junior officers were using and/or dealing drugs onboard the ship. In fact, a few months later I busted an Ensign with cocaine. It does not look good on a Captains fitness report, (and can derail advancing to Flag level), to have drug problems within the senior enlisted ranks and the officer ranks, which can reflect that the Captain doesn’t have control of his crew.

This is only one example of what I saw with senior officers. Their concern with advancement took priority over the need of the command. If it could look bad for him then he would try to avoid doing it.

Actually I have. I did 26 years combined active duty, contractor, and civil service. Wanna keep telling me my business, asshat? I’ve spent more time forward-deployed than you have sleeping. One-liner insults are the only thing you post, so take your whiny garbage somewhere else.

I read an account of a SecAF in the late-70s (in a book about John Boyd) who referred to himself as the most ignorant man in the Air Force because nobody would give him an honest assessment of anything, people only told him what he wanted to hear and he knew it. I’ll give him major props for being that aware of his situation.

Trashing your commander publicly is doing your job. The only one here that isn’t too bright is YOU.

A lot of them got their start during the Krinton years, too. Yes, they’re well-practiced in kowtowing to leftists. They’re so well-practiced that they don’t know how to act around a conservative, they can’t turn off the moonbat reflex anymore.
