An Interesting Encounter
Myself

Posted on 10/19/2019 8:39:57 AM PDT by Gay State Conservative

Yesterday I had a free loaner while my car was in the shop.Nice, sunny day...nothing to do...I decided to drive down to Greenwich,Connecticut.

For those who don't know,Greenwich is an obscenely wealthy suburb of NYC that's located right on Long Island Sound. On arrival I started walking around looking at the multi million dollar mansions (boy,I wish I had studied harder in school!). I came upon a short gravel path leading up to a small dock on the Sound.

Behind me came an older woman...70s,maybe even 80...who said hello to me. We got chatting and started talking about a vacant lot that was nearby, which went right up to the water. I mentioned that it wouldn't be a surprise if someone wanted to build there.

She,having told me that she lived in the neighborhood, said "yes, someone is trying to build there but the Town is blocking them".

Long story short we got to talking about the pluses and minuses of living right on the water. I mentioned hurricanes and she said "and what about global warming?" I then asked her, calmly and politely,to explain algore's and Osama Obama's beachfront mansions. She replied "do you have kids and grand kids,do you care about them?"

And she walked away.

I smiled quietly, rather than get all snooty, because she was a nice, friendly lady who, unless I'm mistaken, was living in a very expensive house very close to the water.

Rich liberals...who can explain them? I can't!

It’s like Fenwick in Old Saybrook, only less exclusive.

Old Greenwich is where the old money is. More exclusive than Greenwich, I believe. :)

IIRC, not so many years ago, Greenwich townfolks were caught in a dilemma;

They found that people of color from NYC,were coming to the town beaches in Greenwich; paying a daily fee.

Well, the residents couldn’t have that; so, in their infinite wisdom, rather than outwardly saying so [that they didn’t want Blacks, Hispanics at their beaches] they raised the daily parking fee for non-residents to $50./day . That seemed to fix the problem

Agreed! Cognitive dissonance is real and it is endlessly seen in leftists like this ‘wealthy?’, old woman. I call cognitive dissonance by a different word though and that word is ‘stupid’ and like Ron White says, ya can’t fix stupid.

Yes, Alberta is right. One huge thing leftists love to do is get a third party (i.e. Government) to do their dirty work.

I have posted many times before that leftists, like this old woman, really want you controlled or is lieu of that, they want you dead. They just do not have the guts to pull the trigger themselves so they get “government” to do it for them.

These two people you had a meal with are more proof that I refuse to let them make or even have the smallest of inputs (i.e. A vote) on any decision which could effect me.

They are quite simply, too stupid to be allowed to make decisions for society.

Yup,that's where I was,"Old Greenwich"...just off of Sound Beach Ave.I know that Greenwich has several "villages" but I just think of it all as "Greenwich".Don't know if you've ever heard of Belle Haven, which is where Skakil lived when he killed Martha Moxley with a golf club.I drove past his house, and hers, once...that's where the *serious* $$$ is!

The strutting pigeon knocking down the pieces on
the chess board image comes to mind about this snooty
CT liberal.

It's interesting how fast memes go viral (another meme).
Last summer I had never heard of "Woke" or "Pigeon
Chess" and now both especially "Woke" are common.
